Glue for glass- not garden items!
Comments (4)I just saw a new spray adhesive at WalMart - I love E6000 and there is now a spray adhesive by them that is water clean up and no smells! Go go a search engine and read about it... I also wonder if ModgePodge would work - does it dry clear? I think it does......See MoreBest Glue for Attaching Ribbon to Glass?
Comments (10)Hey Kat! What you doing over here? lol Well, I found some stuff at Hobby Lobby (in the glues/adhesives)called "Zips" and it seems to be working fine. There's 24' of it in the box. There's strips of adhesive down the center of the "tape". Leveta..yes, I got one of the stands and I really like it! Regular $4.99, but I used the 40% off coupon!*S* I like that the bulb fits in the stand and you just sit the block over it. I also bought the little 7w light, instead of using the string of Christmas lights. I like that if the bulb burns out, it can be replaced really easy!...See MoreGlass front cabinets and hot glue?
Comments (13)Oh dear, Lmcal, You are being too hard on yourself. You are not complaining or being too picky. You sound realistic. Tomorrow you are going to take a deep breath and remind yourself you are paying for this new kitchen. And with a firm, calm, direct and powerful (not agressive save that if things get ugly later) and kind voice you will figure a way to communicate what you expect from these people you have hired. You can do this. I think for women (like me) this can be difficult to try to be kind but yet firm. Don't be afraid to do this. There are different ways to approach this depending on the other person. You can do a casual kind but firm approach. Something like.. "Wow, I can not wait until you are finished. Those nails sticking out just iritate me. When you are done it is going to be amazing! I am just so excited about this new kitchen. Why just the other day I noticed the marker mark on the back of the wine rack. But I know this will all be fixed. The tiles will be so beautiful when they are smoothed out. I am thrilled. Thank you for your good job. And I look forward to seeing the corrections. " It is sort of a backhanded compliment. I know sneaky but it gets your points across. The other way is direct. Simply say. "I see there are few things that still need to be done. I want to take pictures of the progress. Should I wait until you have them corrected ________? There are definitley some issues that I looking forward to being corrected. Do we wait for the walk through or should I mention them now?" This sort of gives him an annoucement of what you are going to annouce. Giving him time to save face, or respond to your direction. And the third option. And I am so guilty of this is getting my DH to step in and speak for me. Often this is harder as DH is non confrontational. Thinking of you and hoping you know you are NOT too picky. Be strong. ~boxerpups...See MoreGlass Mirror Glue Removal?
Comments (2)Unfortunately, it may not be easy to remove, and whether you try a physical or chemical method, there is a good chance of damaging the thin reflective coating. Mirrors are typically mounted using this type of adhesive, and the safest thing to do is to leave the old stuff alone and to simply remount the mirror using similar adhesive. Put the new blobs in different locations than the dried stuff, make the blobs big so that when you press the mirror to the wall you will have good adhesion, and when you're done you shouldn't have the mirror standing off from the wall any more than it was originally....See MoreRelated Professionals
