installing an electrical panel upside down

Greetings,

I am replacing a subpanel (along with all of the wiring in the back part of the house) and am planning on moving the subpanel off of an exterior wall to an interior wall in a closet for ease of wiring. It's present location on the exterior wall makes getting the wires to it a nightmare because of the roofline.

If I move the panel, I would have to flip it over so that the feed lugs are on the bottom, because of the (lack of) length of the wires that feed the subpanel. Is there any problem with this or any reason I should avoid doing this? The only downside I see is that the letters and numbers will be upside down and the main breaker (for the subpanel) at the bottom, not the top. The box itself looks symmetrical with respect to top and bottom.

Thanks!

Bob
