You did a great job! That is a wonderful view! I hope I can buy an old weathered table for one of our pine groves, but I'm looking on craigs list. No rush! We enjoyed a recent visit at a home with similar views, and we heard the story of how they built their home. It helps that he is a framer by trade, but they got tract house plans for really cheap from a builder. They lived in a trailer on the property while it was under construction, and it didn't go up in a day! He hired professionals for all the drywall, weather protection, roofing, plumbing, electrical. I'm not sure if wood inlay would weather well, but tile or other ceramic should. JMHO

Temp The Viewers! Show a good Picture of it or similar. Pic should dictate age range, condition and quality of material. Has it been in the family for years and built by a family member? Is it open to the weather or under a top? Will it get much traffic? I built 2-3 with solid 2X6 cedar wood slats on 2x2x1/8” angle iron metal supports in the 70s that I would enjoy now. All had seats attached or separate. All could take open weather or under tops. All had poly or tung oil finishes (customer’s choice). I considered them, “Old Park Picnics Styles”! Later I went to purchased folding legs to travel with ¾” cedar or Etc top to take the weather and a variety of uses.
