IEP suggestions

We are getting ready for an IEP meeting because things need to change for ss11 who is adhd. A few things I want added in is that teachers must sign off on homework being written down everyday or that it must be pre printed for him. Also setting a timer for him while he is working on assignments (something that has seemed to work extremely well for us to keep him on task)

We have already had problems this year... he failed his spelling test (we didnt even know he had spelling words that week) and didnt turn in or forgot homework at least 4 times (and this is only two weeks in) We also suspect he failed some math this week too but we havent got a clear answer.

Any suggestions you have would be vastly appreciated... TOS, you seem to have insight in this area ... I actually took the suggestion about the homework from you. I wasnt really aware that things like that could be written in. I have since done a ton more research but I am continuously trying to think outside the box.

The ESE person for ss is going to be little to no help. Already she blew us off saying... "oh well I always make sure he writes down his homework". If she was making sure it was written down SS wouldnt be saying I forgot to write it down he would be saying I lost what I wrote down or I left it at school etc .... I am not impressed thus far.

So, any suggestions any of you have would be appreciated
