Since you all helped with my porcelain wood look plank tile questions I thought I would share the outcome.
So far my crew is working faster than lighting on my bath gut and bedroom floor remodel. Love my floor! I actually didn't think I would like it as much as I do. Originally I sort of thought I was settling on something. Most of my house is open plan with the vibrant cherry kitchen being an attention hog. I wanted to pick a floor that blended somewhat with what the house was already saying even though that area has an off white tile. On top of that I was further limited on what I could get as PO had tiled over existing tile in the living areas so I had a height issue. Then, of course things started adding up so my first floor choice of a much more expensive porcelain plank went out the door and I had to readjust the floor budget. This is a fairly cheap porcelain wood look plank at $2.38 a sf but I'm happy. We ran the same flooring through the bedroom and bathroom. I think my off warm white vanities will look pretty in the contrast. The tile guy wanted to do some kind of strategic layout but I wanted a staggered layout. I like the staggered better. And, I picked a dark grout (much darker than tile) called espresso. It's hard to tell in the picture but there is a slight grain in the tile.
This picture is from the bedroom door. The bathroom was done today so I'll have to wait for that picture.

You must be so happy and cleaning will be a breeze with a damp mop. I really like the color variations within the planks. It looks like you had a meticulous installer.

LOL Ya'll are funny. I got so many comments on my bad photo taking I took it off to retake them. So I'll post pics here: I suppose I should have typed between pics....what you're seeing is the master bath :P I took a close up of the glass to show how cool it is :) We had it made for us so no one has glass like it. It's super thick and while in the big pics you see inside the cabs due to use of flash, you really can't see into it (as you see in the glass only pic). It's really just another texture. The room inspiration was my collection of medievil manuscript pages. The "art" is dated between 1350 and 1700. The majority is mid 1400. I love the soft coffe stained tones you get with antique papers. The cabs might appear black, but they're actually a rich chocolate cherry, just like the croc tile. The cabinets are Omega custom. Since they do whatever you ask for, the design was whatever I wanted LOL I went with 27" deep lowers and then it has the little jut out. The cabs have pull out drawers inside for my daily routine. I also have the little pullouts for toothpaste, soap etc., as well as toe kick drawers, tip outs, blah blah...every inch of space is used LOL People always ask about the tub...you can easily get into it by stepping up on the step, sitting down backwards (bumm on deck) and swinging your legs over to drop down into the seat that is inside. We did plan on a bigger step (one that flipped out) and we planned on using grab bars, but really they're not necessary. Frankly the tub (while it calls out for nekkid adults and good wine) is most often occupied by our 3 year old. He loves having water to his neck (he's not left alone in there obviously) and the bubbles that the air jets make. Not to mention that the water is recirculated into a warmer so it never gets cold...again not that I'd know...but given his two hour splash session...I'm guessing it works for him :) Oh and it's NOT dark in the room. The shower has it's own light inside. The room is quite well lit and gets so much sunshine that I took the pictures late at night to get them without too much shine (which made people think the room is dark). We sit on the edge of a lake and have huge windows everywhere so the room is constantly light and bright. Our wall finish was done by an artist to mimic the travertine feel, but not be specific.

Thank you Emma and Itltrot! It feels so good to be underway on this project. I thought I might be disappointed somehow as my first choice did not have a glaze and had the color through. However, that tile was double the price.This tile is meant to be a matte finish but does have a glaze. I didnÃ¢ÂÂt want any shine at all but IÃ¢ÂÂm ok with this, in fact IÃ¢ÂÂm very happy. It looks a bit better in person due to a very slight grain in the tile.

WOW! Thanks everyone! You guys are so great in helping make choices and tough decisions. I appreciate everyones wonderful feedback. Makes me blush! : ) Judd..The tile is travertine. Also, i bought the vanity as a piece of furniture and converted it to a sink base. I sanded the top down to the bare wood and restained and sealed it. I also changed out the hardware. It amazing what you can do with a few little things! glitter..I got the sink at overstock.com. I cannot remember the bramd etc, but they have a great selection! Stinky,,, I will take some more shots. I guess I was not covering it all bc there are a few little things that still need to be completed. Thanks for your very kind words. Put in a new wood like porcelain tiles from Cancos in September. Love the look and color but it has a haze when daylight shines on certain spots of the floor. Its driving me crazy!!!!!!!! I've tried lots of cleaners and cleaning methods.... Bona, vinegar and water, mr. clean, steam mop, microfiber and bissell crossover. Please help!!!! Would like to hear if anyone has come across this problem and any solutions would be greatly appreciated!

Fun2B3Here, I canÃ¢ÂÂt tell you how happy I will be Not to be a floor slave in this area of the house. I have a big Rottweiler and a Maltese so donÃ¢ÂÂt need any more labor like my lighter tile gives me in living areasÃ¢ÂÂ¦even though I have a big floor steamer.

Seagrass, for porcelain that is a good price but you can get ceramic cheaper. I do hope you donÃ¢ÂÂt think me rude for bringing up price but sometimes I think it good to show things for those of us on a tighter budget who seek to achieve a nicer look. However, so glad you like it! I have been looking at cement floors since just after purchase. It had stinky stained beige carpet that was gross ( and immediately ripped out) and a hideously remodeled moldy bathroom.

On another note, now I canÃ¢ÂÂt wait for the baseboards!

Are you sure thatÃ¢ÂÂs $238 per SF? That means a 10 x 15Ã¢ÂÂ room would be $35,700!!! A 5 x 9 bath a mere $10, 710. Gulp, if thatÃ¢ÂÂs working with a tight budget IÃ¢ÂÂd hate to see what a flooring for an entire house would run -

ItÃ¢ÂÂs lovely, but at those prices definitely out of my league. ThatÃ¢ÂÂs more than the total new home SF building cost is for this neck of the woods!

I think there has to be a decimal point missing! Maybe more like $2. 38 per square foot?
I have looked at several of the porcelain wood look tile and it was in that range at Lowe's. For example...

Yep there was a missing decimal lol! Lowes does have some very good price points for porcelain. The trouble I had was that in the beginning I did not want any shine and was hoping to get more of a flat/matte unglazed rectified tile with the color all through in case of a chip. The prices on those tiles can be very pricey. I did find a tile I loved with all those characteristics for around $4 DECIMAL 25, which wasnÃ¢ÂÂt too bad but I had to make some compromises to the budget as my plumbing portion was way off. This tile claims a matte finish but does have a glaze. ItÃ¢ÂÂs as close as I could get to what I originally had in mind.
