Removing Fiberglass Screen on Old Sliding Patio Door

User

On the sliding screen door for my older patio door I need to replace the fiberglass screen.

The first step however is to remove the old fiberlass screening which seems to be (nicely) held in place by a thin bead of adhesive/caulking applied in the groove where the spline would normally be.

Once I get the adhesive out I imagine they'll be no problem installing a new screen using new splinbe in the groove as usual.

I hope/assume I can just peel the old adhesive out by poking in the groove and the pulling the old screen out etc.

Any one have some advice - want to make sure I can do this properly before I start ripping the old screen out.

Many thanks.
