totally unstep related, but this is the only place I really post and I am just so angry!!!!

So I just heard a blurb that that tests showed that Casey Anthony's trunk tested positive for having a dead body in the trunk...

I thought all along that she had killed this little girl. What mother doesn't report her child missing for over a month????????????

I am so enraged....and my heart is broken for that sweet little girl......she will never go to kidergarten, she will never go to prom, she will never get married or become a mother....

What kind of monster does this to a baby??????????????????

Sad Sick proof that just because you CAN have a child doesn't mean you SHOULD. This sickens me. This _______ should be dumped out in the middle of the ocean. This to me also proves that just because someone is mental doesn't mean they should not be held entirely accountable for their actions. She'll of course claim insanity and probably get off light. HOORAY FOR THE SYSTEM. BARF! I don't care how crazy you are...you are a WASTE OF SPACE to do something like this to ANY child no less your own. This woman is a demon and I am sick of "mentally ill" mothers.

that poor little girl...just makes me want to cry. How anyone could do that to a small CHILD is beyond my comprehension. That sweet little girl deserved better...children are so innocent and undeserving of such horrible horrible fates. Especially from their own MOTHER......

I note that a good many people here are determined to plant the Air potato. You really should consider carefully if you're living in Florida. My yard is full of the stuff and I have mixed feelngs about it. It is very attractive (unfortunately) which is probably why people want it. I've gone to some lengths to keep it under control in my own yard, but it's exceedingly persistent and I have to keep digging it up from just about every square inch of dirt I've got. The only things more numerous here than air potatoes are squirrels and, as someone else mentioned, I feel sure those little dudes are planting the potatoes. Do consider the people around you.

Casey said she took Caylee to the apartment complex where the "Nanny" supposedly lived and dropped her off into Nanny's hands outside the apartment.From what I have gathered in the interviews of her about the Nanny,she never actually went inside an apartment.She also said that sometimes she dropped her off to the Nanny at a park or other places where the Nanny went often with Caylee. "the defense is building their case around the Nanny taking Caylee." Not much of a defense in my opinion since they have already basically proven the "Nanny" doesn't exist. I agree with azzalea,that whole family is nuts! In the first place if Caylee were my grand child and lived in the same house with me (or not) and I hadn't seen or talked to her in a week,much less a month,I would have been finding out where she was! And a mother whose baby has been missing even a few days,much less weeks and doesn't report it,totally unbelievable.I wonder if one or both of the grandparents may have had something to do with Caylee's death or are covering up for Casey.That is a horrible thought but possible.Whatever happened,I pray that someone will trip up and the truth will eventually come out.I don't want to even imagine what that baby's last moments of life were like,especially if it was her mother or grandparents that killed her.So sad. I need to go hug my grand babies!

Good lawyers do make a big difference and there's generally a correlation between good lawyers and how expensive they are (not always but usually). To me, that doesn't really show any flaw in the legal system because verdicts are based on the evidence. It's the lawyers job to present the evidence in a way to benefit their clients and some lawyers are better than others. Prosecution and defense is a lot more complicated than people believe. I see nothing wrong with hiring the best lawyer that you can. People always have the option to represent themselves. It's sort of like with doctors. If you had to have brain surgery and you had the choice between the local surgeon and the top neurosurgeon in the world, wouldn't you want the best? But if insurance didn't cover him and only the rich can afford it, does that mean it's wrong for them to pursue it?

"the mother wanted to give the baby up for adoption, but the parents wouldn't let her" Does anyone remember the "baby in the closet" in Lancaster Texas a few years back? The mother wanted to give the baby up, *her* mother "wouldn't let her", & the little girl eventually was found, naked, filthy, sexually abused -by the mother's boyfriend- in a closet where she had been kept. She didn't know what the world, or even the rest of the house, was like: they threw food into the closet, & she had no container for bathroom needs, so she "went" on the floor. She was the size of a 3-year-old (seems like she was 7), she didn't know what the sun was, & she said the grass was biting her bare feet. The mother had moved from their old neighborhood, & no one in the new neighborhood knew that there was another child. The mother had been snooping around a relative's acreage; law enforcement suspected she was looking for a place to bury her daughter's body. (The boyfriend, afraid that the little girl would die & he'd be held responsible, tipped off a neighbor. Had he not done so, it's likely no one would ever have known.) When it all came to light, the mother's mother sailed in & grandly said *she* would raise this child & the other children. The court said no. The girl's mother said in an interview that she was relieved, that she felt freer in prison than she ever had felt in her life. Tragic all round. Mother & boyfriend in jail, abused little girl adopted by the family that wanted her when she was a baby, but she's had developmental delays, physical problems, surgery to correct what the sexual abuse did to her... other children in therapy. & as far as I know, the control-freak mother/grandmother is still free as a bird, still completely satisfied with herself.

It is just horrible...

& it's awful to realize that it can happen so easily, that there are probably other exactly similar things going on right now, where a child just wasn't there one day.

I read on another forum that Caylee's mother wanted to give her up for adoption, but *her* mother "wouldn't let her".

which sheds a lot of light on both Caylee's mother's & grandmother's bizarre behavior.

Does anyone remember the "girl in a closet" a few years back in Texas?

Despite the fact that the mother had several other children in the home who knew about their sister, no one in the neighborhood even knew of the girl's existance until the mother's boyfriend (who had been sexually abusing the little girl) tipped off a neighbor, who called police.

*The kids never said a word*.

The mother had been looking for a secluded place on some acreage belonging to one of her relatives, probably for a grave, & the boyfriend was afraid that the girl was going to die & he might be blamed.

(Had the boyfriend not tipped off the authorities, the little girl doubtless would have died & no one would have known.)

The little girl was found naked in an excrement-&-urine-saturated closet.

Food was thrown in when she wasn't being "punished".

She was thought to be about 3 years old.

She was 7.

She didn't know what the sun was.

Her mother said that she had wanted to give up this child, that she had lined up an adoption with a couple who wanted her, but *her* mother wouldn't allow her to go through with it.

The grandmother sailed into the middle of everything & informed the authorities that she would raise all the children.

Court said no.

The couple who had wanted the little girl in the first place adopted her.

The mother said, from prison, that she was relieved, that she felt freer in prison than she ever had felt in her life.

yeah we had this local story when a little boy was killed by both parents and it turned out that he was abused and tortured and starved all these years before being killed. and no one knew about it (or pretended), school did not see it? can't believe it. and so many people want to have children and cannot....
