Am I the only one that doesn't believe a word that is spewing out of Jose Baez's mouth? Would George Anthony really get on the stand and implicates himself in order to save Casey??? This is all too much for one to comprehend. Is she saying that Cindy has know Caylee was dead all this time?

Listening to Geroge Anthony's testimony right now. I am glad to see that he's not going to lie for Casey about finding the baby in the swimming pool.

Remember that a "not guilty" verdict is not the same as "innocent." Our standard is "proof beyond a reasonable doubt," based upon the reliable and credible evidence. That's a good thing, even though it may lead to acquittals we don't like. It's true that it leads to unsatisfying results when "everyone knows" (and we don't; we are only going on what we saw in news reports, and I can tell you from experience they are usually very incomplete and inaccurate) that the defendant "did it." But our hunch or even fairly confident conclusion that the defendant did it is not the same as proof beyond a reasonable doubt that s/he did -- and that's assuming that it was what the person was charged with, not something else. I think if you think about it, you will be glad that we have a justice system that doesn't throw people into prison -- or worse -- on a lesser standard of proof, on evidence of some lesser offense, on the basis that they are sleazy people, because the victim is sweet and innocent, or even because the crime itself is so horrifying that we want to see SOMEONE convicted. There are plenty of countries where all of that is standard procedure (check out their relative crime rates to see whether it even works to reduce crime). I don't know about you, but I wouldn't want to live in them.

I understand your concerns about getting a fair jury because of the media attentions this has received. Media spin is hyper-pap for the masses and made to keep viewers tuning in to that particular station. Hopefully there are enough intelligent people who can tune out the rumor mongering sensationalism and be part of a fair and impartial jury of peers. The thing about selecting a jury is those folks answers to the questions. Truthfully, knowing about something is very different from having a predisposed judgment without the body of evidence giving proof beyond a shadow of doubt. I do know Casey is accused of killing her daughter. I know there is much debate over the evidence and its handling. I know many people already believe she is guilty. I could not presume to make judgment of innocence or guilt without seeing the evidence giving absolute proof. Even after a trial and I am not a juror I could not make the assumption she is guilty or innocent because I would not have seen all the evidence, heard the testimony, and seen the actions and reactions of the accused. If I were a juror I would make absolute sure I understood everything and would ask for clarifications if I didn't understand. I would hate to send someone to death row over a tidbit of incorrect or misunderstood information. In this type of trial the jurors are very vulnerable people. They have the burden of seeing justice done in a very publicized case of child murder. All the while being denied the comforts of family and friends that would normally be the support and strength to help them thru a rough situation. LIL

I agree with azzalea ....you must tell the truth on the stand..or be punished. I agree with lynn_d...with all your comments about George and the family. He was the only one in the family with feelings....Cindy seems like a controlling person...but, did not control her daughter at all...I think she spoiled her and let her get away with so much even murder. This is a family that will definitely have a melt down. How could Casey accuse her father of so many evil things and keep a straight face...I think she should be put to death or life without parole. Remember Susan Smith...she killed her children by driving the car into the water and drowning them because she wanted to be single and have fun and no responsibility...These girls are losers..... I do not like that Halloway woman...she wants a reality show.....media seeker. I think he only talked to her ..nothing else... She sure doesn't look like "the other woman" in my opinion. LOL If I was on the jury I would say guilty in the First Degree!

Good lawyers do make a big difference and there's generally a correlation between good lawyers and how expensive they are (not always but usually). To me, that doesn't really show any flaw in the legal system because verdicts are based on the evidence. It's the lawyers job to present the evidence in a way to benefit their clients and some lawyers are better than others. Prosecution and defense is a lot more complicated than people believe. I see nothing wrong with hiring the best lawyer that you can. People always have the option to represent themselves. It's sort of like with doctors. If you had to have brain surgery and you had the choice between the local surgeon and the top neurosurgeon in the world, wouldn't you want the best? But if insurance didn't cover him and only the rich can afford it, does that mean it's wrong for them to pursue it?

Did George admit to the sexual abuse? I couldn't believe he remained in the courtroom listening to all that the defense was saying if he's innocent.

Call me gullible, but I fell for everything Jose Baez was saying. From the very beginning I thought the parents had something to do with it or covering up a molestation. Now George Anthony is on the stand and doesn't even mention the pool incident. Well, makes for good TV doesn't it? that's what makes all the money.

I mean, I don't doubt that some of the things that she says happened in her childhood really happened. They do seem to be a screwed up family, and that would explain how Casey got to be so damaged. However, why did the little girl have duct tape on her mouth if she drowned in the pool?

I think she had a terrible childhood and was traumatized, but that she still isn't telling the whole truth about Caylee's death.

I'm also trying to figure out why she had duct tape over her mouth if she "accidentally" drowned. I'm wondering if they're trying to keep Casey from a death sentence by pushing this new idea that she died in the pool?

You know they will try anything including lying or blaming it aliens...How do they explain the duct tape if she drowned and how can a parent or grand parents not report a missing child for a month.....And now they are saying the fellow that found her little body was the one that put her there in the 1st place.....That whole family is creepy!

Casey Anthony couldn't tell the truth if her life depended on it...

She is throwing her parents under the bus without a thought for the grief she is causing. I have followed this since it first started with a missing child in 2008.

Are those webcams on that link pointed at the Anthony home? If so, I think that's creepy. I would never watch that.

I remember now the defense making the statement that the duct tape "was wrapped around her mouth and chin area as if to hold the head onto the decomposing body..." "Forensics show the duct tape being placed there after decomposition".

This duct tape was supposedly in a photo with George Anthony, the tape laying on a table(?), during a time when he was handing out flyers and posters. I heard very early on, not yesterday, when they found the body there was a flower sticker placed over where her mouth should be. The duct tape is a decorated type.

Oh he## no she wasn't abused by George.
No abused woman would EVER let her own daughter go and stay with her abuser. Not ever going to happen.
Just trying to toss the blame anywhere except where it belongs.
She sure doesn't look like a grieving Mom out partying with her friends to me.

My mom was sexually abused by her father and allowed us (my sister and I) to stay with my grandparents all the time growing up. Thank the Lord that we weren't abused as well. My mom was so wounded that she didn't understand that it was wrong to expose us to the danger. :(

Haley is right. Sexually abused women are so damaged that not only do they have poor judgement, but they recreate abusive situations because that is what they know. It's not at all uncommon for a sexually abused woman to leave their children with an abuser or even their own abuser. Her reckless partying is also typical of someone who was traumatized as a child.

Now, don't get me wrong... I am not making excuses for Casey Anthony, I'm just trying to understand the situation. She hasn't been convicted, but I do think she did it and should pay for what she did.

I could CONSIDER the abuse theory,except for one thing that sticks in my craw.WHY were there internet searches on her computer for "how to make cloroform",and "neckbreaking" and other items used to kill?????

We don't really know yet what happened, but I think she was abused, and also was responsible for her daughter's death in some way. She is a liar, but that doesn't mean she wasn't abused as a child herself. Have you ever worked with women who have been abused? Many (NOT ALL!) of them are very damaged and have so many negative coping skills. Partying, drugs, alcohol, lying and reckless self indulgent, self destructive (including criminal) behaviour is very common, for those who haven't gotten help. BUT... if she killed her daughter, she needs to be punished to the full extent of the law.

This whole thing bothers me she dressed like a little girl yesterday we all know how she dresses..comm-on.Everytime its mentioned about being molested she starts cryin,We arent in court because she was molested she killed her little girl.When she was first arrested and weeks followed she was stronge,smiling strutting in the court room ..I think she finaLLY KNOWS SHES IN DEEP DOO.
