Wiring for Window A/C Heat Units

I am looking into installing some thru the wall a/c heat units in my attic. The people who I bought this house from had a single window unit and base board heaters. As I am going to use this space for my daughter I want to get rid of the base board heaters so I figured these thru the wall units with air and heat would be good.

Anyway, here's my situation. When they put in the window unit and the baseboard heaters they ran 3 circuits to the attic. 1 for the window a/c and 2 for the heaters. Each is supplied from a 20A 120V breaker. My question is can I replace the wiring and the breakers with 220 as that is what is required by the thru the wall units. Odds are I'll be having an electrician do the work, but before having one come out I wanted to know it was even feasible.

Thanks in advance.
