Mary, I don't think I would ever sp a rose after just one year. Mine seem to get better each year, and many don't do much that first year, even in my long growing season. Especially the minis. Many folks here would have loved to get your Ebb Tide. I really don't know how it will do over time in my very hot summers. But I looked to hard to find one to give up easily on it. I think Sierra went out on a high note, her little speech last night at tribal council was coherent and strong and rational, something you sure couldn't say about Coach's- that man is a lunatic! He and Debbie are perfect for each other, they're both lying snakes. "I'm a professional! I won't be lectured to by a 23 year old! I don't remember what we said yesterday." Geesh, what kind of example is SHE setting for those children at her school? That lying is A-OK if it's for a million bucks. Sierra busted Coach wide open, he thinks she's delusional and has herself convinced that what she thinks is the truth, is the truth? HE is the one doing that. That nutbucket has so many lies going on in his head on a daily basis, he's living in a dream world! I just want to pinch JT's head off, for not voting for Debbie. And Erinn's, too. Man. When you have an opportunity to get rid of someone, you should take it! They could have gotten Sierra anytime at all. Debbie, on the other hand, as they keep saying, is in it to win it, she's strategizing and it might end up biting them all in the butt now. And of all times to win your first anything, it had to be last night for Coach? I wanted to choke when he was going on about meditation and martial arts(super-secret stuff, don't bother to google it!) and prayer helping him out... don't forget LYING!!!!! When Coach walked past Brendan to cast his vote, Brendan was just cracking up. That was worth seeing.

Oh God, I obsessed over this white decision for a very long time (which helped me choose/eliminate kitchen cabinet companies). Here's what we did. House trim is BM super white, everywhere. We selected a white cabinet color that we loved - which is very close but not exactly the same. We purchased the crown ourselves, so that it would match the crown in the house, and the KD took it and finished it along with the cabinets. We sent enough crown for the kitchen area so that all the crown in the area would match the cabinets. That left the window and door casing and baseboards. Those we are painting our house trim color, BM super white. Likewise with the built-in bench, bookcases, etc. We have a door right beside the cabinets which will be painted the house trim color, will match the casing, but the crown above will be the cabinet white. So far we are loving the result. However. What I should have done, to eliminate all this angst - is to choose a cabinet company that allowed a BM color of my choosing. What I did not want was a glaze, or an off-white, or yellow-ish cabinet color, beside our white trim. That made the crown complicated, so I steered clear of that and went with white, which is what I really wanted anyway.

No, I don't do anything to protect my DR's from rain. They don't look as good as the ones I see on this forum though, so Rachel I won't be posting any photos as there are also no flowers on mine at the moment.
