Mom's children visit (remarried with one child)

Here are the facts of my situation:

Remarried with one 5 year old daughter. Current husband has no children.

My daughter (age 22) lives with us and ha been in college and will be moving out next month.

Ex-husband has custody of two boys (ages 11 and now 19).

Both boys (even the 19 year old) come to visit every other weekend and once during the week. In the summer much much more.

I love having them come and feel incomplete when they are with us. My husband is wonderful and too feels happy when they are with us. He is much more understanding about the squabbles than I am. I think I just a happy family when they are with us since I miss them so much and when it does not happen I am so disappointed. I will say, however, that my children seem to pick on each other and go on and on with things.

The 19 year old comes to visit because he wants to get out of his father's house when he can and I truly feel that he likes being with us and having a family life. No family life at his father's house to speak of. We try to make big dinners and breakfasts and do family outings together (i.e., canoeing, biking, camping, etc.) and he really enjoys this.

The 19 year old picks on the 11 year old about everything from telling him what to do and telling me I should tell him what to do more and on and on. It's really wearing on a person after the weekend. He is just obsessed with being in his face.

When he does this, my older daughter chimes in and hollers at him, and the whole family thing seems to sink in the ground.

Any thoughts on this? What do you think of a 19 year old visiting his mother on weekends. I am happy that he wants to come yet sad because somehow it doesn't seem right and I'm not quite sure why. I have been over and over this and cannot quite sort out my feelings. He has very little in the way of friendships and very little to none in the way of a social life. Nice kid, top ten in graduating class, clean cut but really not social.
