Mike, I'm sorry, but you're out of luck here. We had over 12" of rain on either April 28th or 29th, followed by more rain most days for the next two weeks, so my garden is a wreck. The zinnias, which were 4" or 5" tall when the 12" of rain fell are still 4" or 5" tall and aren't growing at all because they are so waterlogged. Most years, I'd have zinnia plants 2' tall and in full bloom by Memorial Day, but not with this year's weather. Even my poppies and larkspur are rotting and collapsing because of the wet ground. I hope folks who've had better weather can help you out and feel horrible that I can't. Good luck with the wedding. Dawn

Ah, what did I overlook? We don't know she was the other woman (and believe me, I would not be forgiving of that). For all we know it was a situation where he was long separated and met her (based on posts I've read on here, many people seem to be lazy about the actual divorce part). Or maybe the ex-wife left him and even remarried and had more children. We don't KNOW, the OP didn't tell us. Although that isn't exactly admirable (being involved with a technically married man), it is not exactly a homewrecker either. I was actually thinking people on here would think I was too tough on the OP! I even pointed out that she wouldn't (or shouldn't) be invited to the shower if she doesn't get along with the bride's mother. KKNY, you obviously have some personal problems with all this. Get a grip. I didn't overlook, accidentally or deliberably. As with most of these posts, all the relevent facts were not disclosed. Since they were not, I worked off the facts that were disclosed. You know, rather than make an assumption.

Good point, Alisande. Watching that, I think Dad had better moves than his daughter, have to wonder how he acquired - and kept - the dance skills.

davitma, Your home is just gorgeous! I love it. You have done such a beautful job in decorating it. I'll be coming back to your post for tips to help me finish my home, such as the artwork and all the little touches you've added that make your home look so "finished" and welcoming. Your daughter is beautfiul and both she and your son in law look so happy. You've definitely created a lovely home and family to share it with.
