Thank you, Amanda, I'll be sure to tell Ashley. She just keeps getting it cut shorter and shorter, mostly because it's always a different color and she gets "icky" ends. LOL I told her she's gonna be bald soon, but she likes her hair short because it's easier to take care of. She's kind of busy with work and school, but you know that better than anyone, I'm sure. Elery really likes me as a redhead and is trying to encourage me to get it dyed regularly. I just hate sitting still for that hour and a half, so it's probably not going to happen more than twice a year, but thank you. I love the color, I just haven't decided how much I love it, and whether it's worth the time and money in the beauty shop. :-) Annie

oK..I THOUGHT THINGS WERE GETTING BEETER, AND I WAS STARTING TO FEEL BETTER BUT THEN...WHAM. 2 DAYS AGO, MY HUSBAND TO BE (HE'S A LOCAL TRUCK DRIVER), WAS HELD AT GUNPOINT AND ROBBED, AT A REST AREA, IN BROAD DAYLIGHT. THE MAN WAS WEARING A SKI MASK, AND TOOK OFF RUNNING AFTERWARDS. MY HTBE CHASED HIM. THE GUY RAN TOWARDS THE BATHROOMS THEN DISAPPEARED. A NEARBY MAN ASKED WHAT WAS WRONG AND WHEN HE TOLD HIM, CALLED 911, OR SO HE THOUGHT. THE PERSON ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE WAS NOT A POLICE OFFICER. SO NOW, WE ARE OUT OF $1269.00 HE HAD DRAWN MONEY OUT OF THE BANK AND WAS GOING TO PAY OFF THE VENDORS FOR THE WEDDING,SO WE WOULD HAVE THAT OVER WITH. (A FEW EXCEPTIONS, SUCH AS PHOTOGRAPHER, ETC). THE STATE POLICE SAID THAT THEY WOULD DO AN INVESTIGATION BUT IT WAS UNLIKELY THEY WOULD BE ABLE TO SOLVE THE CASE. THEY BELIEVE IT WAS AN INSIDE JOB BUT CANNOT PROVE IT. HE WAITED FOR ABOUT 1/2 HOUR BUT THE POLICE NEVER SHOWED, SO HE LEFT. THE SUPPOSED POLICE OFFICER ON THE OTHER END OF THE PHONE TOLD HIM THAT IF HE COULDN'T IDENTIFY ANYONE THERE WASN'T MUCH THEY COULD DO, SO THAT'S WHY HE LEFT. HE REALIZES NOW THAT HE SHOULD HAVE CALLED 911 HIMSELF BUT AT THE TIME THOUGHT AN INNOCENT BYSTANDER WAS HELPING OUT BY ACTUALLY CALLING THE POLICE. HE'S NEVER HAD ANY ALTERCATIONS BEFORE INVOLVING THE POLICE SO HE DIDN'T KNOW THAT THE POLICE WOULD RESPOND TO A CALL REGARDLESS. PLEASE, EVERYONE, BE CAREFUL AT REST AREAS AND TRUCK STOPS. AS FOR THE WEDDING, I DON'T KNOW HOW WE'RE GOING TO BE ABLE TO PAY FOR EVERYTHING NOW, PERHAPS WE WON'T EVEN BE ABLE TO HAVE A WEDDING. BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY, HE'S ALIVE. PLEASE, PLEASE, BE VERY CAREFUL. AND PLEASE BE VERY ATTENTATIVE WHEN YOU'RE AT A REST AREA. IF YOU SEE SOMETHING THAT JUST DOESN'T LOOK RIGHT, DON'T HESITATE TO CALL FOR HELP. Hi jaluca, welcome! The floors are just a shade over 5" wide, they are all one width. DH and I had decided on random widths and when I went into the reclaimed flooring place I changed my mind at the last moment and went with all 5". I think both would have looked great, but I'm very pleased with the 5". We have a water-based finish on the floor. We opted not to go with a more typical oil-based finished in part for environmental reasons (and to reduce odour) but also because oil finished tend to yellow the hardwood and I loved the blonde/light brown colours in the birch. Emily- I like the MW under the counter...certainly better than taking up counter space by my cooktop! I will say that I don't use the MW a ton. I use it for Easy Mac for the kids, frozen veggies, popcorn, heating water for instant oatmeal. I don't have a great back, but it doesn't bother me to get stuff in and out. But I use it less than 1 per day. On the other hand, I'm hoping the kids (3 and 6)will be able to use it soon, so low is good. Thanks for all the compliments, hopefully I will have some updated shots of the nook area soon. They are building my banquette. I was hoping to be done by Christmas, but it maybe a bit longer to get all the window treatments done.
