Well we went to court today....

The story is as follows

Troll update:

Early Sunday morning our daughter says "daddy I think the TV people are here a day early" Heh, we wish. Turns out to be a process server. "See you in Court in two days" So we call our attorney in a panic, amazing she isn't available on Tuesday, and apparently my MIL's Attorney knew this. So down to the court house we go, no lawyer.. to try and reschedule. MIL's attorney actually tries to push the proceeding through, even though she knows we have been denied the right to have our attorney present. She told the adjuster, she didn't even know if we had retained an attorney, but then turns around and tells a judge that our attorney failed to file a "notice of appearence" Well of course she didn't file, we had made an attempt to settle out of court, to avoid littigation. We never heard anything back, just BAM see you in two days. So we get there, they railroad my poor husband into a room BY HIMSELF with those two vipers. You had to know anyone that my MIL is in bed with is going to be a slimey snake in the grass, because she's a slimey snake in the grass. Good news is, they allowed us to reschedule, bad news is, I had to set eyes on that troll again. The emotional trauma that woman has caused my family is disgusting. How does she wake up and live with herself and look at herself in the mirror every day? Maybe her black heart thinks she's right? Who knows. She's got no conscience, she bailed on her own kids, by having an affair and running off with him. She never even asked for child support for her own son. This has nothing to do with her wanting what is best for the "poor" baby boy, this has everthing to do with "how can I hurt my son, because I'm not getting my way, and he's still with that wh*re" She cares so much for the kids, yeah right. Where was her care when we had picture proof that her precious grandson was using our daughter's and grand daughters panties to m**turb**e in, and then hiding them along with other things like bloodied c*nd*ms in his drawers. So by bankrupting us, and taking away from the other chidren that is going to help him. I'm even afraid to ask the question "how much more evil can a person be?" I'm terrified I'll find out! Too bad I can't be a fly on the wall when Satan welcomes her home, and crowns her queen for being such a good servant.

Wow, Nyte, what craziness your family has endured. I had to go back and read your initial post.

I have had a few run-ins w/ the legal system completely unrelated (crooked contractor and subcontractors) and sadly, what I've learned, is that you just can't fight the scumbags of the world if they have a few bucks as you'll be crippled financially unless you're richer than them...It's like creeps just have a license to steal, or in your case, lie.

Just hold on - at least your DH is supportive and on your side. Fight together and use the creepy photo to make your point. I hope it's admissable? The law often seems to protect the guilty.

It's a shame that you couldn't mediate as now, the only ones who benefit are the lawyers. But, did you really think Satan's bride would be reasonable and selflessly do what was truly in the best interest of everyone? No way.

I've seen what my DH went through w/ his ex and it is so horrible the way BDs are treated in these cases. They don't talk trash, try to exhibit self-control and are basically punished for taking the high road. So sad.

Anyway, when does this ss turn 18? Sadly, he and his grandmonster probably feed off one another - one psychotic to another.

Can you insist ALL parties undergo psych. evaluations???? I'd love to see that happen. This kid isn't well - I'm sure you won't subject your children to him ever again. G-monster covering for him is just perpetuating the craziness. He might just go off and do away w/ her one day....

Thanks Dana. He turns 18 in a year, but until he graduates from High School, or turns 19 we pay. I am hoping our lawyer will be able to help us. She did say "Judges hate this kind of lawyering" so it may have hurt them.

I keep trying to tell myself, this too shall pass. It will... I just wonder how much more it will hurt while passing.

I know we all have our stories. It is nice to have a place like this where people can just say "we're thinking of you"

I'm not the expert that Al is on this topic but if you can use Dry-It in boiling water and it doesn't break down then I *think* it would work for soil building. Again, Al or other experienced members of this forum might have better advice. Last night I spent time on various bonsai sites, and all of the sites had extensive threads on soil building. Although I didn't have time to read each and every post on how to build soil, here are a gew general things that I took away from the threads: 1. Turface: A tremendous product for use in most bonsai and container applications. PRO: It's extremely stable and will not break down. Great as a soil component. CON: It can be difficult to find in some areas. 2. Moisture absorbers: Various products like OilDry, Dryz_it, etc. can be used in soils in place of Turface if tested beforehand. I believe these products are similar to Turface, however most are not kiln fired to such a high temperature as Turface, therefore they could break down faster. I would carefully test these products by soaking in water for extended periods and see what happens. PRO: Easy to find at auto supply stores, hardware stores, Home Depot, etc. and inexpensive. CON: Some break down faster than others, so test before use. 3. Cat litter: Quite a few members used cat litter in place of Turface or OilDry and had mixed results. Some users said it worked well, while others said the cat litter broke down and turned to mud in a hurry. (As posted earlier in this thread, I found the same thing.) Overall I personally would avoid using cat litter as there are so many brands and contents available that it would be a major effort to find one that worked as well as Turface. PRO: Inexpensive and available everywhere. CON: Many brands break down into mud in a hurry. So those are my two cents worth! Again, Al or other members of the list may have other opinions but if you can find it I'd stick with Turface. If you can't find Turface and feel like experimenting with some expendable plants then maybe try the OilDry to see what happens. Thanks. Dave

I am reading The Stolen Child right now. It is very good so far. I recently read a Christopher Moore book, A Dirty Job. If you were raised a Catholic and have a good sense of humor, you just must get Lamb by the same author. You will wet your pants laughing. Also recently read Paranoia by Joseph Finder. I would highly recommend it. And a few Dean Koontz books (I never was a fan of his) that I really loved--Odd Thomas, Odd Fellow, The Watchers. And, I read my first Nora Roberts book. I alway sneered at them, thinking they were dumb romance novels. A co-worker gave me Northern Lights, which I put in a drawer at work and forgot for at least 6 months. I loved it! A mystery and romance in Alaska. I think she writes quite well. So there. I confessed my guilty pleasures. Kathy

This may send this thread into a whole other topic, but (and this is just my opinion!) I think oral sex is much more common now than ever before. Not to say it hasn't been done forever, but I think there's a trend for kids to want to say they're virgins when they're married, and they don't think of oral sex as losing their virginity...thus there's much more attention paid to that area with a razor/wax/whatever. It's getting more "face time" (HAHA!). When I talk to my kids about sex, they say that's what "most kids" are doing, oral sex, not intercourse. Just a theory. For the record, I think it's much more common for a guy to "manscape" than ever before. In my circle of friends, the women generally prefer to groom themselves with a "landing stip." I'm in my mid-forties.

Ah, yes, the old "graduates from H.S." deal coming back to haunt. I guess he's not at the top of his class w/ college offers coming in from all sides, either.

You are a bright and sympathetic woman. Your DH is lucky to have you - a lesser woman might be running for the hills by now.

Stay strong and you are right, this will pass. That which doesn't break you makes you stronger, right? Don't let her break you, honey. My prayers are with you. These two weirdos you're dealing w/ probably feed on all this psychotic commotion. And her covering up for him w/ no regard for the well-being of the other children. Sick, sick, sick. They deserve one another.

I can't believe you are going through almost the exact situation i am going through...i couldn't believe reading your story how you described what you have endured was so similar to our situation.
The only difference with me is the fact that he is only 11 right now,and is currently in foster care.He sexually abused all of his siblings-including my 6 year old little girl.I'm just dreading the thought of him coming back into our lives.The whole time he was living with us was a drawn out,painful,torturous expirience.And just like your mil,my husband gets punished if he doesn't make him the "main priority" in his life.
Its sickening to live in this kind of a family..Family is so important to me though,i don't know if i will be able to endure living amist such chaos all my life.

My stepson was 7 when I met my husband. One year left and hopefully we can be done with it all. When SS was 11, I too didn't know if I'd be able to survive another day. Here I am 6 years later. I'm still thinking "how am i going to survive one more day?" We'll get through it. I'm sorry to hear ANYONE say they can relate to me, It's a horrible way to live =( I love my hubby and we'll get through.
