I do keep in contact with her via email..she did say she has been busy (and gone over moms day) She will love that fact that she is missed!! In her last email she said she had not been able to check out the site lately.
You guys are so SWEET! So great to be missed!! I'm ok. I've been really busy, and feeling a little blah. I haven't been in my studio, or online in a few weeks.
My daughter 20, and boyfriend, moved home for a short time, before their move out of town. They stayed in my studio, so I about went nuts!
After she left I felt pretty blah, and haven't felt much like working on anything. I guess it's time to get back to it. I started walking a few miles in the mornings, working on this mosaic butt I got this year!hahaah, and when I get home the yard pulls me in for a few hours, always something needing work in my gardens. I do miss my mornings on the forum, and chatting with you all! It's time to shake the blah's and get back to what I love.
Well it's about TIME - so glad you're back. Know what you mean about the blahs after your daughter leaves - I get the same ones, but all I have to do is cut, glue or pull one teensy weed and I'm off and running again. Have the slows today cuz I dug out yet another new flowerbed yesterday, and THAT was after planting the new bed I dug last week. There I was - on my way to the garage to put my planting tools away, and bent down to pull one teensy grass runner from the ghost of a bed I started last fall but didn't finish - yep - couldn't stop until it was dug out. I gots the slows today!!!!!
Glad to see all of our "family" is accounted for. Hazie, get busy! I battle depression and it really helps to stay occupied. I'm dying to see the mosaic butt, by the way. Slow...You, on the other hand..need to take a day of rest and as D3bbi said "rejuvinate thouse mosaic brain cells!"
It's bad enough I have tennis elbow but now I too, have mosaicbutt . . . . I'm sure I'm going to die of silicone poisoning or blood poisoning from all the cuts on my hand, silicosis from not wearing the proper mask while mixing grout and now I have to worry about mosaicbutt. . . . .what next?
Y'all little whippersnappers - be thankful you're not 72 w/all the aches/pains/tired/and the above-mentioned ailments. Remember how beautiful the mosaic is of Nureyeve's tomb??? - My DDs know to drape my tomb w/wire mesh, cement-based mortar w/ a pistol grip scorer, running pliers, all my shop tools, lots of broken shards, some GEII silicon, er, uh - no masks, eye protection or gloves, but a beer, a piece of pizza and an inscription that reads - "that ole girl died happy"!
Slow, how about a rita and some dancin' boots? Love your epitath. My sister died at age 38 of breast cancer but she was such a spiritual inspiration. She LIVED life to the end. On her tomb stone she chose her epitath 'Just One More Thing'. (wouldn't that be a good mosaicer's epitath?) And that is the name of our team when we walk our breast cancer walks now.
Slow, you're an inspriation. I want to be like you when I'm 70!
heck, I want want to be like her now - in my 40s! LOL
Haziemoon, so glad you didn't disappear on us girlie. Gardening is the fix for mosaic butt for sure! cripes, it's not even June and I've lost my boobs for the summer LOL
OHGOOD GRIEF, how could I have forgotten the 'rita and dancin' boots?! Told y'all I'm old. Now, NICE - there's another thread line - "NICE - Lost Her Boobies in the Garden". LOL
