Honeymoon

I'm getting married in September of this year and we're trying to figure out where to go on our honeymoon. Here is what we're looking for:

Tropical Beach

All Inclusive

No Kids

We've already been to the Bahamas, so we don't want to go there again and we don't want to go to Jamaica either. Anyone have any great vacations with the qualifications above? :) Please let me know... We have no ideas!

Look in to st.lucia in the west indies.
sandals golf and spa.Went last feb best vacation we have ever had sunny and 87 every day. service was top notch
beach the best ever you wont be sorry.

i strongly agree with virgil about the real work done on these shoes i have to say, i really hope they change hgtv shows. i know theres a thread somewhere on here all about hgtv but im sick and done with the fake happy couples who happen to mysteriously have ginormous amounts of money to flip and renovate homes into ugly houses for the fools who are on the show its the same s*it all over and over day after day, just different couples doing the same decorating and "designing" when we know all the TRUE work is done by engineers, architects, contractors, plumbers, electricians, handymen, house stagers and interior designers who work with them. you know....the little people

Lindsey, I have a LOT of friends who still live in that neighborhood. Of course, bathrooms and kitchens have been upgraded, and additions put on the backs of many houses. But most people buy in that neighborhood because they love the old architectural details of the houses, and they don't destroy them. When Buckingham Palace is given it's upgrade in the next few years, I greatly doubt that it will be a gut job, regardless of rotting beams, wood, old plumbing etc. It will be repaired and worked around. When we lived there in the early 1980's, there was constant disruption from filming going on in the neighborhood - all those generators and trailers - blocked entire streets. The movie "War Games" was filmed across the street - they wanted our house but we were renting and the owners said "no" and that was fine with us. When a movie needs a neighborhood that looks as if it could be Cleveland, St Louis or Greenwich, they head to this neighborhood, as many streets have no palm trees. The movie "Mr Hobbs Takes a Vacation" was filmed right next door. We would constantly see houses from our neighborhood in movies and in commercials. Some people said they could pay their mortgage for an entire year on the fees they got for the use of their house. But most people got VERY tired of the noise, the confusion, the general disruption. An ordinance was passed that limits how many times a year there can be filming in a particular house, on a single block etc. And peace again did reign 'or the earth. It's that kind of neighborhood. People either love it and wouldn't consider living anywhere else at any price, or they hate it and wouldn't live there if they were given a house.

I personally don’t like this yoyoing temperature pattern, though it has been the norm for the last several winters. I love typical NH February weather, with occasional really cold temperatures, but most days in the teens and 20’s. It keeps the snow good quality and allows for time outdoors without the bugs and ticks. I would far prefer temperatures between 0 and 30 instead of -15 and then 50’s.

That’s a darned cute cottage, looks like the ones built in the early-mid 1900s of my hometown. I suppose you could do an open patio instead of a covered porch in back For a bit more light. And you might be able to do without the Porte cochere. I hope you’d build the basement because there really isn’t much storage otherwise (depending on what you do with the upstairs). But when you walk in the side door, which would probably be your common entrance, there’s no closet, just the pantry/broom closet. (and I’d put the cooktop on the right-hand wall, leaving the island free for prep, and put the dw to the left of the sink so it’s not in the way of cooking, and so that corner can be better utilized).

Hi there!

We went to Maui for our honeymoon three years ago. Till this day it is the best trip we have ever taken! We stayed at the Maui Kai hotel http://www.mauikai.com/, kind of an efficiency apartment...but right on the beach...the weather was great every day and so much to do and see and the views will blow you away. (Can you tell I had a good time?) We went in late August, and actually went to the big island as well for a few days...but we were so tired from all the stuff we did on Maui that we just hung out at our resort.

Anyway, there is a reason why so many people go to Hawaii on their honeymoons!

(P.S. I also looked at various exotic locations prior to settling on this...if you haven't already check out the Seychelles island of the coast of Africa...the only place in the world were you can still see the African gray parrot in the wild!)

I agree with Hawaii for a Honeymoon. We went to Maui and stayed at the Hyatt Regency and then stopped in Las Vegas for a couple of nights on our way home to NY. The original poster did mention "All Inclusive" which I think there may be a couple in Hawaii but not many. Sandals St.Lucia has 2 resorts there "All Inclusive". A couple of friends of mine have been to both and the pictures they brought back look beautiful. Just remember though that it is over and hour drive from the airport in St.Lucia to the resort.

We went to Aruba; food & drinks were included; no kids. We met a couple that spent more than us and their drinks were not included! I'm not a big gambler, usually slots only, but broke down and played blackjack. We came home with the bulk of our travelers checks, and a load of cash as well! We gambled, hung on the beach, drank in the pool, rented a jeep for 3 days and drove around, went jetskiing a few times. I really loved it there; just beautiful!
I had always wanted to go to Hawaii, but the travel time and not being able to get off 2 weeks from work kept me away...

Cancun or the Riviera Maya area offers a few hotels that are adult only resorts. Also you may want to check on Punta Cana. There are charters offered to both these areas from the some areas of the country. I love Hawaii, but depending on where you are located the trip can be a long one and there aren't all inclusives there.

Too bad you have decided against Jamaica, Super Clubs have some wonderful packages there.
