Lynartist, thank you for all the pictures. You have a very diplomatic style of communication which is much appreciated here! We like the first oval the most, with the first of the last three a close second for me. And I love the idea of adding gold leaf, although my husband almost spit up his coffee when I read him your remarks about adding this to his repertoire! (Apparently, he is well versed in this technique from his former profession). Your updated sconce was interesting- I had something very similar installed over our fireplace mantle. Ditched the shade, shortened the shaft, and it is now very similar to the ones I purchased for over the dresser, except in black. (And it was the doors that we were referring to as shaker, rather than the dresser. I also thought the dresser was Chippendale style, rather than Early American you mentioned...)

I'm with @Olychick and @shirlpp on the mirror issue. The mirror is going to throw back more wood, and you already have enough wood in your space. Also, you didn't mention why you want a bench in that area... do you need more seating? If not, here is an option: I would put a low credenza in that space instead of a bench. It would give you additional storage and display space for artwork and treasured objects. (Or maybe even a dry bar!!!) Something light colored and/or metallic will throw off reflective light in what looks to be a dark space. Next - I would place 2 vertically hung mirrors over your sofa. When mirrors are hung at a right angle to a window, it brings more light into the space and almost gives the appearance of another window: Last - if you are open to a credenza - you can style it with things that will drawn in color from your living room. Using color for visual continuity will tie the two spaces together BTW: Your place is super cute!! I love the huge expanse of glass and the balcony. i was going to suggest stacked artwork 16x16 or as large that will look correct. 3 stacked will emphasize the ceiling height and add a bit of color. The hallway leading to my bedroom has a wall (right to BR left to Bath) I painted that wall hale navy with large gold framed art and an art light that doubles as a night light. The mirror you had there did nothing for the space. If you would still like a mirror, Id get 3 and stack them, pretty frames are a plus.

For the light fixture, I meant it’ll be 1 fixture and not 2 separate over each sink. All the more reason to go with a single mirror. One large fixture over two mirrors /two sinks will be odd. Consider going with sconces or pendant lights to "bring the light down" to face-level. Lighting that comes from face-level is more flattering than light coming down from the top, which creates shadows on your face. Another option is a back-lighted mirror, though you're talking real money when you add that. I'll say again: one sink, one mirror ... less cleaning, one less thing to break, more storage, more counter top. It's just sensible. Our trash can is in the toilet room Is that convenient? And the shower is to the right of the vanity with 1 cutout for natural light which isn’t much. You might consider a solar tube over the vanity to bring in more natural light. I agree with color or a design of some sort behind the mirror, then I can paint the whole bathroom. Yes, remember that whatever you place on the wall reflected in the mirror "counts twice" as it'll show twice. Since you have doors reflected in the mirror, again I'm recommending some type of wreath. That works on a door and gives you color, texture and a natural element. Yes our mirror is builders basic and I will continue my search for new mirrors. Don't underestimate how this mirror could change if you just frame it. That's quite inexpensive ... I'd go with black to tie into the vanity.
