Spiro, that's great! Thanks for the update! Let's hope it grows into a nice, bushy seedling instead of the usual lanky plumeria adolescent, lol. Mark and Blooms, each of your plumeria may behave differently. I tend to let them go dormant or not as they naturally do. The ones who keep leaves longer go next to windows. When I had manageable numbers--before I got to mumble-mumblety plants ;) --I would only take them in just before a freeze and then put them right back outside for the warm winter days we have. That helped keep down the spider mite and white fly numbers. Now with so many I spray them all just before Thanksgiving and a day or so later bring them into the house or garage permanently. Here in Central Texas we use Thanksgiving to Easter as our guidelines for winter storage, but in DFW or West Texas you'll probably get a light frost a little earlier. As with bare-rooting, the older the plant, the better able it will be to tolerate temps around 40. Many tougher ones like Celadine will take light frosts but only if planted in the ground and given some covering. Your plants are young so don't take any chances--their first winter is always their hardest and many people lose theirs to rot. If you're not sure about watering, then don't. Good luck!

I am tearing out carpet and replacing it with peal and stick tile throughout the house. I have completed the bedroom above the living room, but have a problem with a vibration. Now I am getting an annoying vibration from a fan or TV that is on a wooden shelf. My son used to keep his TV on the wall, but now it is on a shelf. The hum is very annoying. It feels like something is wrong with my ears - like a distant sound of thunder. My son can also hear it, so it is not my ears. Before I invest in the equipment to mount these on the wall, I would like to hear from others who might have encountered such a problem. If you feel that another site is more appropriate for a response, please recommend it. Thanks, Sammy

I have a lot of the Mexican Ariel with Phophates. I also love Sears Ultra Plus, got pails of that, just in case the company goes under. I use the STPP I have on really heavily soiled items, like my husband's work shirts. He works in oil refineries and comes home covered in oil, grease and clay. I use Oxiclean occasionally, but like the STPP, only on really dirty clothes. It seems like the Oxiclean disappears before everything else because the pail is so small, even when I buy it at Sam's club...and not cheaply either. I also have Tide with bleach alternative, Ultra Stain Release and a few Tide pods. I also have a large bottle of the Persil 2 in 1. That's about it. I have small bottles of different detergents out in the garage that I buy when they are 99 cents at Walgreens or the dollar store. Those are mostly for my kids and their college laundry. Gain, Oxiclean HD, Arm and Hammer with Oxi, Whisk and Era. As for FS I only have Downy and Ensuano Baby.

I quite like your room. Sure, the sectional is large, and you can try to switch things a bit-but it'd come with other sacrifices, as far as I can judge from the plan, so I'm not sure how much playing with a placement is worth it. Your fireplace is fab, I wouldn't even add a mantel. The room isn't big, I'm sure it plays a prominent role whether behind a couch or not. The thing I'd try to understand better for you-is why you hate that wall. Can it be that your sign (which I like btw) is percieved by you as a compromise and a temporary thing, and you are waiting for a different art to become more significant to you? Can it be that you plainly need more storage for books(I can see you love them)-in which case I'd do something narrow, vertical,, maybe 3 or 4 shorter shelves closer to the TV, rather than going with one horizontal long piece? Maybe you're bothered with the fact the wall comes too close to the entrance(the black door is the entrance one, right?), and there's not enough feeling of transition, even though you grounded your sectional very nicely with that console? Maybe then a thought should be put into how to give that transitional feel, given the current furniture placement. Analyze what's bothering you about the wall..share your thoughts with us if possible..it will become easier to see where the solution lies.
