The most exotic birds we see here are herons over or in the creek, and banded pigeons. Could your 'fat birds' be gray/black with obvious orange marks and chests? Possibly Varied Thrushes? I love other greens people pick out but it's hard to find one off a chip. On another thread someone said how they see green undertones in all beiges, like my mom. Atleast I now know my mom is not crazy when she says "I like your green couch", huh? Valinsv - thanks for the tip on the mattes with B/W photos. It is definitely easier to change those. It's just a bummer how expensive they are. jjam - I like that tip on black neutralizing colors that don't get along. I am thinking of how that works other places too. Oh, and I need to leave DH in the dark about my accessorizing. He is not a fan of the process. He'll say it looks great no matter what just so I stop. diginthedirt17 - I wondered too about accent walls being outdated? I have tried it but never with a good result but I have seen some that I thought looked good. Judithn - I have been thinking about painting the trim too. I love white trim but it's such a job, with that and the doors. Does anyone else think the trim/doors should be painted too?

I'm not a colour expert but I think it would be advisable to have your countertops and flooring in before you select your backsplash. Although it might seem like a good idea to select the finishing elements due to time constraints, it is much easier to make a decision when you can view all the elements together. There was a fairly recent post where someone was receiving all kinds of feedback on her potential backsplashes then when she posted photos showing the floor the opinions changed significantly. Seeing your countertops and flooring choices will help greatly IMO. At minimum, you might want to post photos showing your granite and flooring samples in your kitchen (i.e. with your lighting, paint, etc.). I like your cabinets; it looks like you're well on your way to having a really nice kitchen. Best of luck with the rest of your project!

I have 5 tomato plants in containers 2 are doing the same other 3 are fine..consistant water and liquid fert every 10-14 days can anyone explain?
