Need help in choosing color of replacement windows

We are about to replace the aluminum frame horizontal sliding windows in our 70's contemporary style house. The consensus among dealers and installers we have talked to is that sliders are really totally out of favor and we should go with casements. We will most likely use Anderson 400 casements and had been assuming we'd use the terratone (brownish) color on the outside similar to what we have now but the last two installers we spoke to suggested we go with white.

The house is currently gray, vertical cedar siding -- we were planning to repaint a light beige color once the windows were in. These guys made us feel like the terratone color is as out of date as the old aluminium windows...but we can't quite visualize how white would look...Can anyone give us some insight or perhaps have some pictures...here in Connecticut practically every house is a colonial but ours is contemporary----lots of big windows etc. These windows will cost a lot and don't want to use terratone only to find out they are already considered out of date...

Any suggestions, opinions, input will be greatly appreciated...thanks so much...
