I fell in love with some Zonavita cabinets a few weeks ago. It's a European-styled line of semi-custom cabinets, very sleek and modern, and I am in love with a very cool melamine cabinet they have that looks sort of like zebrawood, but with an even more dramatic pattern. My problem is that the line is only a few years old and I can't find reviews or pricing comparisons anywhere. A KD told me that it would roughly cost about 30k for 70 linear feet of cabinets. Is this a crazy price for melamine? I'm going out this weekend to start shopping for other brands, because at the momet, I have nothing to compare that 30k estimate to. Anyone heard of Zonavita? And what do you know about Decor cabinets, in terms of quality and price? 30k is more than I wanted to spend, but I do want European styling - am I being naive? I would appreciate any advice that anyone can offer on Zonavita, Decor, and/or other brands with a modern look that won't totally kill my budget. I have to confess that the 30k estimate was an unpleasant surprise! Thanks.

This may be a little late for you, but we used Koch for our kitchen remodel last year and love them - they seem like very good quality and are very sturdy. We've had no problems since they were installed about 10 months ago. There were a couple doors that had to be replaced because they were found with minor damage after installation, but we had no issues with getting replacements. We got all soft closing hardware and full extension dovetail drawers which we love, and also got plywood sides and backing. The kitchen designer didn't think the plywood was necessary but it was only a few hundred dollars more and we felt it was worth it. Below is a pic of the mostly finished kitchen.

At one time I was considering using a designer and one of the brands she used regularly was Decor not Decora. They are made in Canada. At that time I posted to see if anyone had experience with them and got no responses except for Decora brand which isn't the same. I did find their website after some searching online. www.decorcabinets.com We decided in the end to go with a local custom cabinet maker so I can't offer anything more. Good luck.

I don’t have many pics but these are the plans for powder room. Floor will be a hexagon white “Thassos”’porcelain. Slab cabinet doors under sink. Purist wall mounted faucet. Walls will have an Asian themed/dragon wallpaper.
