BM pissed off the Judge in court today

We showed up this morning for the child support hearing. BM wasn't there. When our case was called, we found out BM had requested a telephonic appearance. The court then called her. She was sworn in over the phone. Since you usually have to have a good reason to appear by phone, the Judge asked her why she wasn't there in person. She said that she had a job interview in the afternoon and she wouldn't be able to make it to her job interview on time if she came to court. The Judge was visibly irritated and rolled his eyes. Then BM went on to say she just got notified on May 9. She was served on April 17 and called DH to tell him she was served and things are going to get ugly if he proceeds. When BM said she just got the papers on Friday, our attorney presented an email BM wrote on April 23 in response to DH asking her why she's discussing the case with SD. The Judge then asked if they wanted to proceed and BM said yes, DH said yes. The first thing they brought up was BM's spousal support because she wrote in her income & expense declaration that she gets $250 a month and we have a copy of the order showing she gets $683 a month. The Judge asked BM how much she gets in spousal support and she said "around $250" and the Judge tells her that DH is presenting proof that it's $683 and she says that is an old order that has arrears added to it. The order shows that the spousal support is $683 plus $100 arrears (for a total of $783) and the Judge decides that he can't proceed over the phone as BM can't see the evidence we have and can't present her own evidence to dispute it. So, the Judge continued the case for two weeks to allow BM the time to gather proof her spousal support is only $250 and told her that she needs to appear in person at the hearing. He was visibly annoyed.

BM told two lies in the first ten minutes that were proven to be lies, unless she brings in proof that her spousal support was lowered to $250, which we know isn't possible since we have a copy of the most recent order. I'm pretty sure her 'job interview' was another lie, of course that can't be proven.

After court, DH sent BM a text to remind her that tonight is SD's open house. Last night, SD called BM and asked her if she was going. I guess she told her maybe and SD was asking her which car she is bringing if she comes. SD was asking again this morning if she can call her mom to remind her of it but she had to catch the bus. DH was going to mention it to her at court but she wasn't there so he sent her a text. She wrote back that SD knows she can't make it and that DH is setting up SD for disappointment. It's just unbelievable how she turns it around on DH when he hasn't even mentioned anything to SD about her mom coming. SD asked again on the way to the school to call her mom. She got her mom's voice mail and left a sad "I'm just calling to see if you're coming" BM never called her back.
