For those still looking for radiators, check out ebay or craigslist for used radiators that you can get cheap. Make sure you know ur'e system (Forced Hot Water or Steam) as some radiators are built for one system or the other. Also make sure you know if it's One Pipe or Two Pipe system if it's steam - (it will definitely be two if it's Forced Hot Water), and that the replacement will put out the same BTU's the old one did. There is a science to it - count the number of tubes (bars running from front to back (near wall) of radiator - these are usually more for hot water radiators), and number of bars left to right as well as height of rad. The bigger the rad. the more heat it will give you. If u're in the Northeast, there's a guy in Somerville, MA (near Boston) that sells tons of them and you can look and choose u're style. He'll help you as well and you can exchange the old one and get a big discount on the new one. I know there are probably lots of other rad. places in the Northeast as well since so many homes still use em. I love these old systems. All the systems I've been around, I find these old radiators put out the most comfortable heat and create a neat old atmosphere that is irreplaceable today. Fireclay Tile is great -- I just moved from downtown San Jose (where their hq is located) and not only is the tile beautiful but the people in the showroom are so friendly. I'll have to look for photos to see if I have anything good --we used their tile on walls, floors, kitchen, bathrooms, laundry-- but we just sold that house so I might be out of luck. This was five years ago and their styles might have changed, but I'd say that if you like a very streamlined or modern look, e.g. rectified porcelain with tiny grout joints, it might not be your thing. Our old house was a 1919 Craftsman so it was a good fit. Glazes are beautiful and they have every color/finish under the sun. A lot of crazing which I love but I know others hate... If anyone's in the SF Bay Area and on a budget, I'd recommend stopping by because they also have a boneyard -- where you can get seconds and overruns for less than retail. Not as good a deal as it was 5 years ago but if you are open as to color and don't need all the trim pieces to match, you can score a deal -- I think they're selling first-quality overruns for something like $10/sq ft now. I had to forcibly stop myself from driving to the boneyard "just to look" when we finally finished our renovation. I'm so bummed I moved 45 minutes away. I got so many ideas just digging through the boneyard and browsing the showroom.

Oh don't worry, I'm just seething at their bad business practices. If they only had the one bulb remaining, and didn't want to mail just one bulb they could have given me the opportunity to choose another! And as for some of the H004s being Kahluas, I would have been happy with that too!! What happened to first come first serve?? I've never done this with a laundry detergent but did it with the Grapefruit Method Smarty DW tabs. One tab is WAY too much for the average load and even my strong hands couldn't break them easily. SO, I blitzed them in an old blender until they were a coarse powder. Problem solved! Easily dosed and/or mixed with STPP. I'm surprised cutting up the Tide F/G pods worked. Did you have to squeeze the liquid portion of the detergent out of each compartment of the pod?
