MY COMPUTER IS RUNNING SO HARD RIGHT NOW IT'S UN REAL THESE ARE JUST LIKE THOSE ANNOYING PORN POP UPS U GET WHEN YOU HAVE A VIRUS IT WASN'T LIKE THIS YESTERDAY THIS SITE HAS FOUND A WAY TO STOP MY POP UP BLOCKER SO BASICALLY THIS SITE IS SIMULAR TO A SMALL VIRUS CAN U IMAGINE WHAT THE STUFF ON THIS SITE IS GETTING FROM YOUR COOKIES. DID YOU ALL READ THERE NEW AGREEMENT. BOGUS

I'm not getting pop ups and haven't for several days.

I have never seen a pop up on this site and I've been a member for 5 years. I religiously upgrade my spybot, my adaware, my spyware blaster, and popup blockers and keep my virus software in tip top conditon.

Dumping one's cookies occasionally is just good housekeeping.

I did end up writing GW a note to complain yesterday, as the shadow ads along one side were still showing up despite my bumping my pop-up blocker up to high. I was also getting more of the giant ads and the ad blocker that GW supposedly put in for us to use was still not working. But this morning I got a nice email from GW's Tamara, who is the manager of GW forums. I'm going to attempt to cut and past it here for you all to read. If you are still seeing the rail ads, you should be able to clear them by refreshing your page by hitting the F5 key. If you're still having problems, please let me know. Right Click on the Avast icon in the system tray. Select Program Settings. On the left side click on Sounds. Put a check mark in Disable Avast Sounds. Then on the left side click on Update Basic. Set both updates to Automatic. Then click the Details button. Select Silent Running Mode Put a checkmark in Show Update Progress and Ask For Reboot When Needed. Click OK. Now those pop up messages and scary sounds should no longer both you. I hate them too. Pooh Bear

I'm on Firefox on my laptop and have my popup blocker on and am seeing it. I'll switch over to Chrome and see what happens. Edited: I couldn't get into this forum on Chrome. Additionally, when I went back to my usual Firefox and tried to post photos on the Home Decorating forum the pictures were nice and large until I submitted them and then they shrank down to less than half their size and put very wide spaces between the pictures. All this makes me want to scream!

I am only seeing the ads I saw before, which I generally ignore .. no popups for me, but then I also use spyware, adware, virus software etc...

I don't have any pop-up's, either. The only Pop-Up blocking software I have is what comes with AOL now.

Only once in a blue moon do I see one of those ads and that's when I tend to run my Disk Clean-up and Ad-Aware and Spybot. Whatever causes them goes away when I do all that.

Use Mozilla Firefox. I have it and it blocks pop ups real good, and it blocks image ads. It also has a plugin to block flash ads too and it works great. I hear IE6 also can block popups but IE is always a major security problem. You could easily get a virus or worm which would destroy data on your PC.

I have Mozilla Firefox also and it works great, I was getting the ads right in the middle of what I was reading, very frustrating, I had my son set it up for me and bingo no more ads.

Sounds like you have gotten spyware from somewhere. Get the free Spybot program and run it.
