I have found the plastic trays from Lowe's or Home Depot, the ones that hold the larger pots until they are sold are PERFECT. they are about 4 to 5 inches deep, they have holes in the bottom already for drainage and there are 6 spots, so you can plant all one thing or several things (just be sure to label well). They obviously come in different sizes and style, they all work :) Peat pots BTW are the WORST and I'd never use them again. Styrofoam cups work 1000 times better to me. I also recycle the plastic 6 pack trays that most plants come in. Notice the big plastic storage container in the bottom right corner of the photo...these work great too. here are some pics of seedlings in these. I have also taken them from these containers and then transplanted them to the styrofoam cup after they get their first true leaves...They to the garden. PS: They are free. And these take out trays work great too

For what it's worth from a vermiculture novice, but with some scientific and life experience, I'm 100% behind the concept of "Do what works for you" with regard to liquefied worm poop. I would add several examples where "science" and "technology" have been added to some human endeavor that has been around AND functioning just fine without the science and technology for a LONG TIME. Unfortunately, too many of my personal examples are currently not politically correct, and people would simply get distracted from THE POINT. What's THE POINT, you ask? THE POINT is this: Science, and applied science (AKA "technology") are PROCESSES. As such the RESULTS from the PROCESS can be INTERPRETED in MANY ways. Unfortunately, today, people have been INDOCTRINATED to "believe" that IF the scientific PROCESS has been applied to a particular subject, THEN the results - REGARDLESS OF WHAT THEY ARE - can be INTERPRETED to MEAN SOMETHING. THAT IS FALSE. A great deal of the results of "scientific research", while "statistically significant at the 95% level", are COMPLETELY irrelevant to practical, 'real life', application. Let me see if I can abstract this a bit from worm poop. In Great Britain, they have extraordinary complex laws about how livestock can be killed. At the moment, (it changes frequently based on "new" "science"), there is a "gun" that delivers a steel rod through the animal's forehead to the brain. The force applied to the rod; the diameter of the rod, and the length of the rod, are all specified in excruciating "scientific" detail. However, the view of 'the forest' that is lost in the trees is that "dead", is "dead". There are no "degrees" of deadness. If you are dead, you are ALL dead. You cannot be like the "Farm Boy" in The Princess Bride, "mostly dead". Now, comes the "science" and "scientific logic". If a steel rod of "x" dimensions, driven at a velocity of "y" can kill an 350kg steer, then a steel rod of "2x" dimensions driven at a velocity of "2y" will be "better". Who can argue with that? Makes "perfect" sense, right? WRONG! DEAD IS DEAD. You can't be MORE dead because I hit you harder. So what's this got to do with "aerating" vermicompost, you ask? Simply this: While some "scientific" process can produce some "scientific" results that get 'sanctified' by "peer review" (ptooey, that term leaves a VERY bad taste in my mouth), the APPLICATION of the INTERPRETATION of those results to REAL LIFE may be COMPLETELY irrelevant or even ABSURD. Until there is IRREFUTABLE evidence from ACTUAL APPLICATION - NOT "scientific" "proof" - I think one should use, and continue to use methods that they BELIEVE are "best". More importantly, they should NOT ARGUE ABOUT IT! THAT is patently ABSURD, and here's why: LIFE is not an "engineering" project. LIFE is complex. LIFE is "variable". Furthermore, it is not only "possible" it is a CERTAINTY that what "I" do in some application will be FAR more complex than I am WILLING to keep track of. Therefore, what "you" do will CERTAINLY be "different" in ways that "I" am not interested in "tracing down". Aerate the hell out of 'your' compost tea. DON'T touch your compost tea. Add a POUND of molasses to your tea. Don't have a jar of molasses within 500 feet of your "tea" brewery. Real Life is showing CLEARLY, that DIFFERENT PEOPLE WILL GET DIFFERENT RESULTS. I'm damn tired of trying to "fine tune" LIFE based on ABSURD and slavish DEVOTION to "the Best" ANYTHING, especially if "the Best" is determined by some "scientific" process instead of REAL LIFE. I return to: "What are you going to believe? My peer reviewed, "scientific" EVIDENCE, or your lying eyes?" Paul

Water kefir notes Probiotics, think of yogurt but not dairy. So it's very good for you like any other fermented type food, sauerkraut, miso, kimchi, etc, 2. Easy to make, won't fail or go bad. 3. Put them in soup, smoothies, etc. helps with pets digestion as well. cause it's sugar water, so anything you want to cook with that calls for liquid and sugar are ok. Experiment. 4. In this case, if it has to go through post office machine, it won't hurt them. Unlike seeds; will be crushed This post was edited by itsy_ant on Sat, Aug 3, 13 at 20:41

Not having a water dispenser isn't too tough to find but I searched a lot to find a frig without the ice maker. Very few don't have that wart. Though I really liked the 4 door Samsung with the option to make 3 compartments freezers, (and especially liked it being marked down from $2500 to $700) but it annoyed me that for the most part 1 full section was lost to the ice-maker and water dispenser. Yes, I know they don't have a tank in there for water, but I haven't seen any using copper pipes. Every one I've seen uses plastic tubing and a plastic tube to connect the water to the unit. Sooz, it's been a long time now, but basically take the thing apart as much as you can and wash that stuff away. He used his "miracle cleaner" that had this odor of... salad? Vinegar takes that crust off the stainless and plastic quickly and effectively. And I guess I should clarify, I DID drink water from a garden hose, but never the stuff that was sitting in the hose! I ran it a while to get the hosewater out of there and would have to do that with a refrigerator unit. Even my cousin, who was so proud of his new frig with icemaker quit using the ice for drinks. He agreed with me that bad water makes bad ice, just like bad water makes bad coffee. The only thing he used that ice for was to dump in the cooler when he headed to the lake. Annie, the only way I know to clean out the frig dispensers is to disconnect the water supply line, and these days most often they're those dang vampire couplers, then flush the system with bleach. And I highly doubt anyone ever has, or will. Triciae, too bad about the flood, but it reminded me of when a friend's place flooded from a broken washer hose. All the totes floating around in the basement and her little foo-foo dog on top of one of them. I wanted to call her Gilligan after that! :)
