Pam, sports are really interesting to me, really fascinating. It's especially nice when there are sports of some of my favorite roses such as Marie Pavie/Daly, SdlM/SdSA, Gruss/Pink Gruss. Thanks for sharing Phillip Robinson's thoughts ... food for thought. Krista, the foliage seems the same to me on both "versions" of MP, which is to say both are large-sized leaves for a polyantha. Florence, I liked that third one too, with the bloom hanging below the pot and the old wood bench that my step father made for me. He's a great guy, I also have bird houses in the garden that he made. Hamp, I'll be monitoring the new MP over the summer. My first impressions of it are very, very good, and I'm happy I placed the order from Vintage. A little rose like this with all that fragance being produced deserves to live in my garden. Randy

Great ideas everyone! I love the idea of storing pictures and keepsakes in them (I have plenty of those!). The window frame idea is also intriguing. I like the idea of displaying them on a table but my kids are too young for that now, maybe when they get older. You've all been so helpful that I took a couple pix so you could see them.

Wow, that's so ingenius. I know what you mean about tidying them up. I decopauged those shoe boxes, and as much as I like them, the edges that I turn over on the inside need something. Like some type of edging or something to make it look neater around the inside. But I don't even know what people would want them for if I were to sell them. I just always use shoe boxes for my seeds and wanted to dress them up. Dont know if they would even sell on Etsy! I did one for my mom with old pages from different books since she likes antique looking things. Sometimes they're just good projects for a rainy/snowy day.

I saw a small rustic ladder in an antique mall a week or so ago that I might be able to prop up at the end of the buffet in my breakfast room. Then again, the cats would probably proceed to repeatedly knock it over for me. :-/ I am just so limited on space, and even so, I found myself bidding on (and winning) yet another cute vintage towel on eBay last night! I'm addicted, I tell ya! Although these racks aren't the most spectacular-looking things on the planet, I am considering buying a couple of them and putting them on the side of my fridge that faces towards the kitchen counter/sink. They are magnetic, so that would definitely work on the fridge. I figure I could display at least 3 towels on each rack.

That is lovely! What is that pink background?

I have a frame something like that It had a mirrow in it but it broke could not bring myself to get rid of it NOW I know what I will do with it I have a old lace hankie, some black and white picture of my mom and a dried rose from her furnial thanks

That's so pretty! Is there a mirror behind it? And is that pink lace covering it? I think I may have all the "ingredients" for this project! Except a vintage hankerchief...I'll have to look for those. I have quite a few pairs of gloves,we used to get a new pair every Easter when we were young :)

the background is vintage pink lace piece (a scrap i had laying around forever didnt have the heart to throw it away lol)....just lace added to the background...then i added a vintage hankerchief then vintage gloves with dried carnations and a dried rose....i used spray addhesive for the lace background but used pins to ensure i didnt ruin the gloves or hanky....I cant wait to find another frame like this....

So very sweet indeed. With the Christmas decorations now down and winter upon us, that is a wonderful idea for a project. However, I have no special treasures such as those in the frame.....so off to the thrift shop I go!
