I went shopping this afternoon before work, and grabbed a pair of nude thigh-high nylons (for the fettish guy) and then proceeded to run around stores looking for gold shoes-- what I thought would be the best. Then I saw them. Olive green, 100% silk high-heeled shoes. They have a closed back and an open toe, look very 40s-- the EXACT style I have always wanted. Ankle strap is good, keeps them stable. Over the upper is a small patch of jewels-- green and 3 shades of brown. The brown jewels are the EXACT color of the jewels in my necklace and earrings. The inner sole is pale gold, the color I was looking for in shoes-- and thus where my feet show it, it matches the whole outfit. 100%. And? They were $60. And? they only had one size left-- a NEVER WORN, NOT DIRTY, JUST OPENED WHILE I WAS STANDING THERE (yes, did i mention I watched this shoe get stocked?? I was in the mall a total of 12 minutes, and I was there just at the right time) size 6. That was the last pair. My size. I have been wearing them since 3.30 and they still feel good. Now just to think about a gold shayla. This is my temp one-- in case I do not find one I like. He told me yesterday he is taking my prefered ring photos to a jeweler today. He spoke to the man and asked about having a ring made for me, and decided this is the best option. The stones, he said, would either be blue or pink. Because he is awesome, he realized I like pink, even though I deny it emphatically. I bought him a ring yesterday. It was poured today and should be mailed out on Monday, overnight mail. Kim, There was a big package of seeds waiting for me when I got back into town today!!! I was out of town for a few days so I'm not sure what day it came, but WOW! I can hardly believe all of the wonderful seeds that I received. I've been looking through them and there are lot of things that I wanted and some that I didn't know that I wanted (but I want them now that I see them.) For example, I received Mexican Sage 'Limelight' for my blue and green garden. It has blue flowers with lime green calyxes. How cool is that!! So thank you everyone for sending in so many great seeds. I'm thrilled with what I got back! And a special thank you to our hostess. When I was putting together seeds to send in for this swap, I kept thinking how much work this swap would be to host. Honestly, Kim, I don't know how you did it. Hi all, My pkg. from Carol was waiting for me when I came home today: ) I It was filled with all kinds of good stuff! She sent me a wonderful 10 iris assortment. a White Japanese Yellow Flag Honey Glazed Superstition a pretty purple a red Beverly Sills a light blue heirloom Arctic Snow and Champagne Along with all the iris she sent a couple of frogs(figurines not live ones, lol) a bathsoap set a lavendar/vanilla candle a dog magnet- my husband already put it on the fridge. and a flag pin- she must of remembered I collect pins! oh and the hat! I told my husband he has to take my picture. Thanks Carol for such a great box! I did get all the iris potted tonight, so I happy about that. That was the most touching video, I sat here weeping with gratitude. My Mom died of Alzheimer's and we sang together right up to the end. We communicated in a different way but touched each other deeply. I massaged her arms, legs and feet several times a week as did my siblings. She was one of the fortunate ones who was never left alone even though she was in a nursing home at the end. We took turns. You are wonderful friends to your pal. You truly show your humanity and that's the best you can do. As she changes, so will you and in a better way. God bless all of you.
