Valance and shower curtain fabrics for bathroom
Comments (26)shee, it's difficult to say what color the fabric is looking at it from the monitor, but I would say more gold than yellow. For my shower curtain, since it is just one piece, I'm going to get the seamstress to put the holes so I can hang it from plain hooks and I'll have the liner on the same hooks and when the curtain is in use the decorative part will set outside the tub. The rod pocket is for just the valance which will be on a seperate poll. Also, my seamstreass was suppose to do this but she didn't. There is a waterproof fabric that you can use as the liner for your curtain which will offer it more protection from water and if I remember correctly it's also mildew proof. You asked about the height to hang. My curtain is a basic size so it will hang like your current one is now, just above the top of the tub surround....See MoreFound this material on ebay....use for kitchen valance?
Comments (15)I think the fabric store is called Pennsylvania Fabric Outlet.. or PA Fabric Outlet. I want to say that is Bosler Ave but I am not sure.. I was going to drive past there on my way home but traffic was awful. I can run past it next week. It isn't a fancy place.. but the people who work there are knowledgeable and friendly. cooperbailey, it's about 45 min from Camp Hill to downtown Baltimore.. a little more if it is a game day or rush hour. BUT.. this isn't that great of a store to make a trip of it. I'd imagine you have better stores in the city. Definitely work it in with other stops if you come up this way. I have really struggled to find a nice and afforable antique stores in this area and while I did find one with a nice selection, the prices are outrageous. The antique store in Lemoyne is a lot of stalls from different sellers. Some furniture/casegoods and lots of ephemera and more junk ;)...See MoreIndoor-Outdoor Fabric for Kitchen Valance?
Comments (2)I don't think you'll have a problem with any of those valance styles and the indoor/outdoor fabric. I've used i/o fabric for a few different home sewing projects and a hired out slipcover - all worked well. The fabric does have a different feel and drape but your project won't be impacted by either. If you love it - buy it....See MoreWe painted our kitchen green. Now what?
