KraftMaid Cabinets vs Wolf Cabinets
Comments (5)Not sure if you read this past post on Wolf quality but the opinions mostly say the quality is not that great. I have had my oak KM cabinets for 20+ years and actually just completed a redo and kept them and they still look great. Haven't had one problem with drawer glides etc. and do remember they were about $3600 back then. :) My advise would be to go with KM and get the best level you can stretch to and you will have them for many years. Comments (13)I am not sure how many linear feet I have, but here are the details.... Base - 27-inch 3 drawer, blind corner (not sure on the size), 15-inch full height garbage, 33-inch fluted clipped corner sink base, 2 super susan cabinets, two 18-inch door/drawers, 30-inch 3 drawer for pots and pans (has stronger drawer glides to handle weight), 12-inch door/drawer. All with soft-close glides. Uppers - 36-inch pantry with deluxe undermount soft close glides, 2 frig panels, 27-inch, 2 large angled corner cabinets, four 24-inch, 30-inch over stove, fluted columns, one 12 inch angled, decorative door for end of peninsula, panel for back on peninsula, simple crown molding, toe kick, scribe molding, stainless steel tilt out. No pullouts other than in the pantry. Here is a mid-progress pic. Cherry, sunset stain, Lennox Court door style from Home Depot. One thing about price, when you have a large order, Home Depot will send your quote to the "bid room" and you can negotiate a lower price. I can't remember how much we saved doing that, but I recall it was quite a savings...maybe $1,000. If I can find the info on the linear feet I will let you know....See MoreCabinet Brands: Design Craft (Medallion), KraftMaid, or Showplace
Comments (37)The Kitchen Place, Kraftmaid all plywood Sonata Maple in Canvas Suede. A Kraftmaid rep did come to our home to see the issues and in response stated, "in relation to the cabinet boxes with the thin paint finish the best way to remedy that issue will be to install decoratvie panels and use touch up paint for any areas the panels will not cover." Masco mailed us a can of spray paint which stated on the instuctions that is was only to be applied wearing appropriate protective breathing apperatus in well ventilated area. Difficult as the cabinets were already installed. I will try to post photos of chipped door edges tomorrow for you. www.kitchenreviews.com/cabinets/reviews/kraftmaid/ There are reviews for 2019 here and most express the same problems....See MoreNeed a simple white quartz to go with Kraft Maid Dove White cabinets
Comments (61)@Lisa I do have a question for you! The thing that concerns me about Cambria is the heat comments. I would never put a hot pan on any countertop. BUT what about things like an All Clad Slow Cooker? Moccamaster or Nespresso Coffee maker? Instant Pot? What things like this needs something under them to use? Air Fryer.. I would think Vitamix would be fine? I think it would look awful to always have something under the coffee make or Vitamix. The other things are not kept on the counter. I have never had to use something under them with the granite countertops. I don't Have to go with quartz. If I do go with quartz it will definitely be Cambria. I thought about going with marble but I am a messy cook! I still want to see your blue when I go back to the beach. (My husband seems to be set on Cambria white! But that might be more due to him being tired of ldiscussions about the countertop.)...See Moreneilar
