Take it to a dry cleaner. You may be out of luck. I used to hand-paint T-shirts for sale at craft fairs and I used latex paints. They dried permanent, but I wouldn't recommended washing them.

We are planning on down pipe in our living room and dd's attic bedroom. I've just ordered drapes in a dark gold colour in raw silk for the living room. DD wants to do the doors in her room either a dark yellow colour or fuschia. I think either would look nice with downpipe. I'd keep the rug light (if you can live with a light coloured rug practicality-wise). So glad you posted pics. It is looking great. Everywhere I read talks about the changeability of this colour and it sounds like you are finding the same thing. Keep the pics coming.

John it has been a long time since I sewed a coat. but a man's coat has a sleeve that comes in two parts, there is ease in the connection at the elbow, the shoulder seams are more open on a coat, giving more room for the arm, which would have a shirt on under the coat, If you have the fabric try cutting the sleeve from the pattern, in reality it is probably easier to sew and fit then the shirt sleeve, the corduroy may be a problem as it has a direction, you can see this with any cut that is not in the same direction, you will end up with a lighter/darker look, try the sleeve, I think if you follow directions you can do it. Welcome Nancynancy.....I'm sure you will find yourself walking the aisles of the fabric store soon and coming up with even more plans. I must say you are on the right track with your new machine....just getting yourself familiar with it and what it can and cannot do. Practice away every chance you get...mend all those little rips and holes in anything you find, practice corners and straight stitches..dial in a few fancy ones and see how they look...play with the tension (but make sure you know where to reset it for your perfect straight stitch)...just play away. The more you know about your machine the more worthwhile your l0 hours of lessons will be. Practice filling the bobbins, try and make buttonholes, put in a zipper in some old fabric....and LIST any problems you seem to run into....then you can ask at your classes. Take your samples in and show them what you have tried....you really are on the right track...read your manual and play with your machine. Too many of us think we can just sit down and sew away before we even know how to wind a bobbin. Practice, practice, practice....that is the key IMHO..once again welcome.
