Ooooo the sale is this Sat. I'm getting nervous! I made some more birdbaths, flowers, clay pots, painted some wooden garden totes, painted more clay pots, painted some rocks, painted some mushrooms, made a blue lighthouse, made some wooden plant labels, painted some plates, made clay pot "bells" TODAY BEFORE WORK. :O I was sooooo happy to go to work were I can relax. Oh yeah and I mowed the lawn. I'm having trouble pricing things too. I want to at least get my materials back, but not price them too high and not sell any. I've made the ice votives many times but didn't have a digital camera until recently. I use the 5 gallon pails from my works foodservice. It's real handy to have a porch door right off my kitchen where I make them! In Minnesota they can be outside for a long, long time! When I see large pillar candles on sale I buy lots of them since the votives are just too small for my ice candles (or what I call ice luminaries). I first saw the idea on Rebecca Kohls show (Rebecca's Garden). Thanks for posting the snow candles; I'm off to see if I still have my bundt pan!

I received my box today from indyjoy. What a wonderful surprise. This is what she sent me 8 large cup narcissi bulbs, 4 candles, 3 of them are little pumpkins and the other is an orange candle, but she also sent something that is the cutest thing. It is a stuffed bear from the Bearington collection and she is all dressed up for halloween , holding a pumpkin. She has a green velvet hat on and her dress is green velvet with the skirt made in autum colors of oranges and greens. I already have a place for her in my doll room. I took my two sons bedrooms for my porcelain dolls I make when they left the nest. I have around 75 I have made. So she will be darling in there. She is just as cute as can be, I like every thing you sent Joy, and simpley love the bear. Thank you, Thank you. Ann

Ah, Hollow Wax Shell Luminaries...that's what they are called. Thank you so much! I wish I had known about these before going out and paying hundreds of dollars on my flameless candles and the batteries that I have to put in them from time to time. Boo! These shells are so much more economical and the Tea Lights so much less expensive when considering battery life. Easy, too! Now, I assume that the wax would melt in the hot sun. I wonder if real looking plastic shells are made. chijim - Thank you for that site! Lot's of neat stuff. Makes me wish for another wedding for one of my children.
