Comments (7)I've used a method for crown out of an old Fine Homebuilding article. I put up a backer cut from a 2x4 so that you don't have to be fussy about where you nail the crown when you're putting it up. Comments (6)When we had our family rooms crown molding put up recently- our crown molding guy took a section of our existing kitchens crown molding with him in order to match. honestly my husband has the better eye when it comes to crown- but in my humble opinion-since your rooms connect- if possible- I’d stick with the same size crown moulding & crown mouldings color to keep the look more consistent & flow nicely....See Moremtnrdredux_gw
