It is unfortunate that misinformation continues to be repeated about glyphosate. Denmark has not banned glyphosate, nor have "many European countries". Denmark at one point thought that some of the monitoring they were doing showed that glyphosate could move into agricultural field drainage water in autumn but once they looked at their data and related it to the methodology they used, they enacted no ban whatsoever. As the Danish Environmental Protection Agency specifically stated: http://www.egeis.org/home/main/Evaluation-GlyphosateDEPA.PDF "Against this background, the Danish Environmental Protection Agency believes that no unacceptable risk of pollution of the groundwater is associated with the currently approved agricultural use of glyphosate. The Agency thus does not consider that the updated state of our knowledge provides any technical grounds for the imposition of restrictions on the autumn application of glyphosate." Used properly, glyphosate will not pollute drinking water nor will it have adverse effects on humans. Once applied, it binds tightly to soil particles and is not herbicidally active. If it is applied to hard surfaces such as sidewalks it can move offsite of course. It can also move if there is active soil erosion carrying soil off site. It is of very low toxicity, and breaks down completely into natural constituents over time. It is of equal or lower toxicity than most household products such as detergent, soaps, shampoos, cleaners etc. and far less toxic than some of the "alternatives" often discussed such as bleach, kerosene, high strength vinegars and so on. There is so much misinformation being repeated on the web that it is difficult to get reliable information. This link provides an published overview of the available literature. Thanks toomuchglass, and back at you! do you have a glass oven? might give these a try useing glass scraps. Kidd so glad you posted, was worried that I took over your post, as I see my photos were still in the old post, didnt check frist, I know I have seen bc jewelry over the years, just cant remenber who? I do use a whole punch, not sure of brand but works good, so hard to cut perfect circles. on the butterfly KC, the butterfly was a stick pin for memos, I cut most of the pin off left just enough to stick in the beads, added after the beads melted enough to stick it in, the red one is a clip on ear ring layed over red beads, the other was a charm I just layed on after beads melted so much, but not finished, the frist KC is paper with a small bubble thing and a dragonfly sticker, the rest is just plastic beads, you can use those name beads, spell out mom for a mothers day gift, not sure but some are plastic if so add toward the end so they dont melt much just enough so they stay, you can add a glass bead for accent, (glass beads wont melt in our ovens )lots of ideas there. while the beads are melting you can take another bc and press down on the beads to help them lay flatter, and fill out the cap better, you have to be quick cause they will harden up fast. hope this helps cant wait to see photos and see what you alls clever minds come up with. Happy Crafting oddie

Sarcasm aside, a good grandmother trick for cleaning out things like that is a healthy squirt of dish soap and a handful of rice or kosher salt. A bit of warm water, and some healthy cocktail-shaking or shekere-playing movements, then dump out the contents and rinse the bottle. It may take a few tries, but the rice or coarse salt scours the oil off the sides. C'mon Lou; it's a legit question. No need to urge someone to commit suicide. If you just want to pi$$ people off, there's got to be an easier way.

Cavimum, I absolutely agree that laundry product caps are horrible for facilitating measuring the dosage. However, Christine Ackerman apparently can see the 1-2-3-4 and A-B-C markings but didn't have a reference for matching the markings to a recommended dosage level according to load size, machine type, etc. I found the instructional graphic online and brought it to her attention. My workaround for more consistent repetition of dosing liquids and ease of doing so when using a new product is filling the cap with water (using a flashlight if necessary to see the lines) to the recommended level(s) and pouring the water into a separate standard measuring cup to confirm the amounts ... then using that measuring cup instead of the cap. These are the 1/4-cup (also marked in tbsp and ml) and 29.6 cc (1/8 cup) scoop measuring devices that I use for liquids and powders. I wipe the liquid cup clean/empty with a towel or other item that's in the load, or rinse it under the incoming water flow.
