You will really enjoy putting this together. I did one for a 60th anniversary (5 years ago!), before scrapbooking was so big and before there were a lot of products available. I covered a binder with fabric and put the wedding picture on the front in a fabric-covered frame with silk wedding flower trim. Like the response from Mar, we asked all the grandkids and great-grands to write about their favorite memories of visiting the grandparents' farm in Wisconsin (they were all city kids), and the brothers and sisters also contributed by writing about some of their favorite memories. We had lots and lots of pictures representing the 60 years they shared. I would suggest carrying out the color scheme of their wedding (although at that time there may not have been one), or the flowers that were used. Have the wedding attendants relate anything amusing that happened the day of the wedding. If there are any surviving momentos, such as a handkerchief, fabric from a dress, napkin, you might find a product available for preserving and incorporating that into the book. Enjoy!

Hmmm, new stuff . . . it seems like paper dolls are really popular right now. I saw a lot of the Paperkins and Jill's paper doll templates. I also saw a lot of Journaling Genies and Overalls (page toppers by EK Success). There was one HUGE die cut display, but I didn't see a lot of die cuts at the individual stores. The Coluzzle booth was getting a lot of attention. I tried the EK Success Circle Scissor. I liked it, but am still contemplating the CM circle cutter. The circle scissor is cheaper, but I'm not sure about the durability. Flowers seem to be big right now in papers and die cuts, but that may be the season, also. Suzy's Zoo stickers are very popular. Oh, here's one local company that has patented really cute stick people that you can buy in rubber stamp form, or in a small book that you can trace or copy for personal use. The people that own the store are very nice and they let us stamp-and-take as many samples as we wanted. Unfortunately, their web site doesn't really show off their stuff. I think you can request a catalogue, though. They are at www.scrappinpeeps.com. Their booth was one of the most popular at the show. I bought a couple of books because they were half price. If I thnk of anything else I'll let you know.

I just did a 50th Anniversary Party and I used information on what was going on in the year they were married and the years their children were born, tying it in with their life, e.g.: "1954 - The first successful kidney transplant, "Sports Illustrated" debuts, The New York Stock Exchange prices reach their highest level since 1929, the phrase "Under God" is added to the Pledge of Allegiance, Davy Crockett becomes a national fad and on February 12th Charles and Evelyn add their own Davy to their little family!"

I saw a small rustic ladder in an antique mall a week or so ago that I might be able to prop up at the end of the buffet in my breakfast room. Then again, the cats would probably proceed to repeatedly knock it over for me. :-/ I am just so limited on space, and even so, I found myself bidding on (and winning) yet another cute vintage towel on eBay last night! I'm addicted, I tell ya! Although these racks aren't the most spectacular-looking things on the planet, I am considering buying a couple of them and putting them on the side of my fridge that faces towards the kitchen counter/sink. They are magnetic, so that would definitely work on the fridge. I figure I could display at least 3 towels on each rack.
