Help me put 'hurried' kitchen together please!

I've picked out my cabinets (Medallion, Sonoma, Cherry Pecan). I'm not under the gun by contractor to get floor tile in the next day or two!!

The rest of my apartment is oak parquet flooring and I originally wanted to continue the flow, but have been told by tiler that, for technical reasons, I can't install hardwood in the kitchen. So I'm limited to porcelain or ceramic.

I researched the wood look-alikes, but am worried about that perphaps backfiring (if not close enough match, or

fake looking).

I'm now actually looking at Daltile's Concrete Connection (the "Steel"), but hubby is concerned with how limited we might be for countertop (I'm leaning towards Silestone or Caesarstone). Am panicking as I really hate to select floor tile at such a quick pace. Maybe I should go safer and put down a beige floors, thus opening my countertop options?

Any help/ideas would be greatly appreciated. For your added info, I have a 7x20' galley kitchen.

Thanks so much!
