Who has the paper train?

Who from this site has the paper train? I know it's around somewhere, and I can probably find it by back tracking, but if you have it or have had it and sent it out please post here. Thanks Penny

Thanks for posting Rebecca, I have it pretty much narrowed down to a couple of people, who could possibly have it but I would really like for it to just be put back on track without me having to identify them to the group as bad swapper. So if you have had some problems and are just now mailing it out fine, but PLEASE get this package back on track, other wise I will have no choice but to list you as a bad swapper, to the group so that everyone here is aware of the problem. Scrapbook supplies are too costly to let members of this group be afraid of bad swaps being listed here. Please let's just get this box moving on to it's next destation, and have a good time swapping. Penny

Study on Potty training has found....

Yes, I've heard family stories, too, about kids being trained at a year or 18 months. Like my Gram said my one great aunt had her kids all trained by 13 months but we're talking she was nasty with them! She would make them wear wet or dirty pants for hours to teach them it was bad and they got spanked with a paddle for going and punished in other ways. Like a kid that age can really understand the concept and everything? I wanted DS potty trained early but it just didn't happen...he wouldn't cooperate and the more we yelled at him for going in his pants the more he resisited. He's been potty-trained fully (well during the day. Some nights he doesn't wet a pull-up and others he does a lot! It's not because he has a pull-up on either cause he'll get out of bed in the morning and have one on and still go to the potty just fine) for about 5 months now. I know kids older than him that are still working on it and parents who haven't even tried really. So I guess where he is is better than where he could be. ~Leslie~

Has anyone toilet trained their kitten?

Some cats take to it and some don't. There are sites that sell kits to make training easier but read the link below before making your decision. I believe that if a cat is healthy, yet you find it has a very smelly poop, then the solution is to change the cat's diet. I find that my cat's litter box has very little if any odor but I do scoop once a day. My cat's diet is all wet food so she urinates a lot and I don't think there's any way I could skip a day of scooping! The only thing I'd worry about in the future is if your cat developed health issues (sore back, leg problems, and just general old age aches). Climbing up on a toilet would take a lot of effort vs walking into a litter box. Here's one site that sells the kits: http://www.amazon.com/CitiKitty-Cat-Toilet-Training-Kit/dp/B000F1OS20 Here is a link that might be useful: pros & cons

Just wondering what is happening with the paper train. Is it up and running again? If it is, I'd like to be added to the list. Let me know what the status is. I've been checking back and keeping my eyes open but haven't seen any further updates. It would be a shame if it got stalled at someone's house and never got back to Penny who was so generous to start it with her own supply. She deserves to get the paper back- especially since it was swapped a few times already and I'll bet there's lots of beautiful papers in there she doesn't have! If the person who has it now is having trouble getting the postage to send it on, I'd be willing to pay for it COD or postage due so there would be no cost to whoever has it now to get it back on track. If that's the case, email me and I'll send you my snail mail address so you can send it COD or postage due. I could have it swapped out and back in the mail to the next person in a few days. Let me know! Happy scrappin'! -Sarah

Who has a decorating quirk? Here's mine.

lynninnewmexico - Please show us a close-up of what you have done. Does your fireplace have an electrical outlet? I think mine does, but would have to rummage through the fake ash to see. Since my fireplace is unusable, I have been keeping candles in mine and only light it when we have company. I would love to use the lights! I have the glass blocks with white lights for Christmas decorating on my porch, but saw an idea in Southern Living where they had filled different sized glass cylinders with tiny white lights. I liked that look and think it would work in the fireplace. Natal - Wrapping or stringing lights along the logs is also a great idea! Do you use the green strings, white strings, or is there a brown string of lights? OK, my decorating "quirk" is to make sure all the pictures/paintings on the wall are straight. I am always checking. itsawrap and beekeeperswife - I also fold the toilet paper when we are having company. The funny thing is that I don't like to use that part of the TP when I see it somewhere else. Means that someones hands have been on it already. YIKES!

I know that I signed up for this and have been on the lookout for it! I have not seen it yet if that helps with your tracking. Good luck! Heidi

What's paper train?

Pat,
The paper train is a scrapbook paper swap that Penny started quite some time ago. She sent a package of papers to the first swapper, they select the papers they would like, and replace them with the same amount of different papers, then sends it off to the next person on the list. This message was posted because some of us that signed up for the swap have not received it yet and Penny is trying to track it down. Hope this makes sense to you.

It hasn't reached me yet either. Breathlessly waiting.... FYI to the person who sends it on to Karen Ventura-Kalen: Would you mind posting a note to the mailperson to NOT put through the mail slot. (Although it may be too big.) Thanks
