Please be sure to bring a serving spoon if your dish will need one, and please be sure there's some way to keep your dish covered. If you'll need to reheat something when you arrive, the microwave/stove/oven will be available for your use! With any plants you bring, please be sure they're labeled some way\-\-\-more info about labeling in my very first post at the top of this thread. And please be sure your plants are watered the day before the swap\-\-so they're not too wet to transport, but so they won't be wilting during the swap. If you haven't already read all the Swap FAQ's at the top of this thread, especially if this is your first swap, I recommend you look them over so you'll have some idea of how we do it! It's fun to see several new people coming to this swap! For the demonstration, in addition to the propagation info, I'm planning to include some basic info on soil (gonna show you all why I say never, never use Hyponex soil!), on shopping for perennials, planting them, caring for them, and some other miscellaneous stuff! This is going to be an "interactive" demonstration, and I'll keep talking and answering questions as long as people are willing to listen\-\-and participate! I mentioned this on one of the other threads, but, again, if the weather is nice, as NOAA is now predicting it's gonna be, you'll be in the sun for at least part of the day\-\-\-so don't forget the sun screen if you'll need it! I have made up a couple of sets of pre-printed acid free paper packs, that contain 50 sheets, 1 each of a different design, of 8 1/2 x 11 size, with no duplicate patterns. I would like to trade preferable paper for paper, but I would consider other offers. Please be advised that these paper packs DO NOT include any CM paper. ( There is not a CM consultant in our area, and I find it is too expensive for my budget.) Mostly these are sheets that came in packs for printer use, but have lovely patterns. They include names such as Hallmark, etc.. I bought packs of them in hopes of trading locally, but the art of scrapbook making has yet to catch on here in my TINY town, and I do not need as many as I have of the same design. If anyone is interested please let me know. I also have some approx 3" x 5" iron on's that make great titles and accents for pages. You just iron it on a piece of acid free paper and then attatch them to your page. I have no idea as to the acid content of these iron on's but since you would not be ironing them on to your picture it's self, then they should be safe to use. I know they are really cute. There is approx. 15-20 different designs. For example: A pair of muscled up arms, and underneath the drawn arms are the words JOCK, then there are things that say: Fisherman are happy hookers, and it shows a guy in a boat. If anyone has something they would like to trade for a set of these let me know also. I have more items including stickers with names on them. Janet, Be sure and sign me up for your sticker swap. I mailed back all my swappers stickers this morning. As a former hostess for a sticker swap, let me give you swappers a few pointers. #1. Make sure you have enough postage on your return envelopes, it cost me about $8.00 in extra postage this morning to mail these back out, of course that is also because I tried to include more stickers than I received back to everyone to make sure they would be happy with their swap goodies, and not feel cheated. #2. Romance, weddings and flowers are the MOST requested theme, and I received VERY few of these to swap back out so be prepared that if you request these items you may or may not get them, depending on how many people send them in. #3. Truthfully for me, it was easier for me to do the swap, if people sent in a pretty good detailed request list. Brands are not important but the more detailed the list the better chance you have of being happy with your return swapped stickers, of course this is just a guide NOT a promise so don't expect that you WILL get everything on your list, it really depends on what has been sent in by other swappers, but the better the list the better the outcome. In my opinion. #4. You REALLY need to put your initials on the backs of these stickers! It makes it SO much easier for the hostess to swap out the stickers, since she can tell right away if you sent in that sticker or not, and that way you don't get the same stickers back. #5. Clearance stickers are fine but try and include a selection of stickers that were not bought on clearance too. I received a BUNCH of the same Provo craft stickers that were bought on clearance and I had to end up keeping a bunch of them myself, so that swappers ended up with new stickers. Remember these are not Janet's rules, just some helpful hints from someone who has been there. LOL All in all though I had a great time looking at stickers I had never seen before.
