can all these chairs work together?

Can I ask for help posting these as pics? Tinypic is giving me problems this morning, not sure why. Thanks in advance.

I just bought an older chair which looks a bit like this:

Picture it in a white-ish linen tweed, with a skirt, and a comfy but smushy down pillow on the back. (Can anyone help me post these as pics? I tried but couldnÂt get it to work.) I plan to reupholster it, and was going to take the skirt off and possibly switch out the legs, which I don't think are as blocky as in the pic here.

Today I saw, and am lusting after, these Craigslist chairs, also with the intention of reupholstering them and possibly refinishing the exposed wood:

DH doesnÂt think these chairs are all going to work in one room. But I really like them all somehow, and I like the eclectic antiques-mixed-and-matched style. (The only other real furniture in our MBR: a pair of slender modern bookshelves near a window, and a walnut panel bed on the other side of the room, far from where these chairs will be. We have a couple of dressers, but those are junk store finds and will eventually be replaced.)

My question: Can I use these chairs, all of which I really like? Will it look eclectic-but-classy, or just incoherent, she's-been-spending-too-much-time-on-Craigslist?

What if I upholster all of them in the same neutral fabric and put coordinating pillows on them, along with refinishing the exposed wood in walnut and/or getting walnut legs for the chair thatÂs currently skirted?

IÂd also like to find an ottoman or table that would work with them, maybe draw them together somehow. What do you think I should look for?

Basically, am I nuts, or can this work?
