I have all natural wood doors (and windows) with 1980's antique brass finish hardware. When I recently replaced my french doors, I selected an aged brass that is halfway between what's everywhere else in the house and ORB. I really prefer the warmness of brass/bronze with wood. Here are some pics of satin nickel (not my home). The first one is very bright, the others are more muted, which I think looks better...so it might depend on the color of wood and the brightness of the hardware. I found quite a few pics with nickel finish hardware similar to this, where the hardware is very contemporary and chunky. I think it looks great, and probably better than a darker finish, but it's really all about the hardware. Yes, I like this faucet very much and no, it didn't take long at all to get used to it...from what I recall, just a couple of days. The nice thing about this (and most similar) is that the handle can be on the right, left, or in front. If in front, there's less water dripping onto the counter than when on the sides. If I had it to do over, I would probably have put the handle on the front for just that reason. To turn the water on/off, you move the handle away or toward the stem. To adjust the temperature, you move the handle back and forth. I don't think it's more difficult than controlling it via a handle on top, just different. The sprayer works great! It locks on either spray or stream and "remembers" what you last used when you turn it on. My DH likes to use the spray mode, I prefer stream. But, since my DH uses it most of the time, it stays in spray for him (unless I've used it!) If you look at the handle in this picture, you can see that it's pulled "away" from the stem of the faucet ("on") and that it's straight up for lukewarm water (this pic also shows you that you can "lock" the head in any direction to reach all parts of the sink): I also have a pullout faucet at the prep sink that works very well. The faucet on our main/cleanup sink (the one pictured above) is the Kohler Vinnata in brushed nickel (K-690-BN). The faucet on our prep sink (the one I use the most) is the Kohler Fairfax, again, in brushed nickel (K-12177-BN). Pictured below:

Got the computer back! I use Malwarebytes, but after what I call the "Coloring Book Virus" arrived on the computer, Malwarebytes did not pick it up nor did AVG Free. Too late I guess. Raven, I use IE and saw WOT on download.com but would rather download from the site you linked. I just have to make an account in order to hook up with the IE version of WOT? Also, if a person clicks on a site and WOT gives you a warning, isn't it too late by then? Not sure how it works. Moni, sweet picture of your granddaughter. Here's my current work. Hey, others can share work too!!

wilson - Odd that the link didn't work. It's working for me. Maybe it got cut off because it's too long. Try this. Even if they weren't going to both be replaced, the issue is that the freezer is being replaced and there are no freezers available that match the same format with two drawers. Fortunately both units are being replaced which at least gives me a fresh start to make the best of the situation. cpa - I actually did the exact same thing you did, my fridge and freezer door panels are extra tall to match the top of the cabinets. And I'm lucky I have all that extra headroom because my current units are 80" tall and the new Subzero are 84" tall. I'd have a whole other set of issues if I didn't have the extra room up top. I just don't know how I feel about having fake drawer panels on my freezer. It just seems tacky to have fake drawers with pulls and everything. If I get a new fridge with drawers (which I really want) I'll have to do this but I'm not comfortable with the idea yet. I cringe every time I picture these fake drawer panels opening altogether with the main door. Is it not as bad as I think? If you guys wouldn't mind, can you share your design advice in the other thread? I only started this thread to ask about past/future SZ models and I don't want to have two threads going at the same time with suggestions for what to do about this.
