I've tried almost everything, from pricey copper stake-type markers to Target "dollar stop" tin markers...in the end, I prefer white mini blinds with Sharpie/paint pen for writing. They're cheap (a single $4 blind from WalMart can yield hundreds of markers!), widely available, easy to spot in the dirt...when you're marking hundreds of jugs/bottles/transplants, this is the thriftiest way. I cut the top ends of mine with "Victorian" scrapbooking scissors, just to make them a bit fancy :-) Karen makes a good point, the mini-blind strips are a bit harder to force into clay soil...so in the one area of my yard where this is an issue, I force a small weeder into the ground where I intend to place the marker, to help things along. Sally, Don't ya love it when y'all can get together? Hopefully, your wallhanging will stay in the family and handed down from generation to generation....along with who is who. Making memories, is right! We went to DD's in-laws for Thanksgiving. Since DD moved to FL and remarried, that's been our custom....they embraced us and welcomed us into their family (the rest of ours is up north) so we've sort of acquired his siblings and parents as our Florida Family. I love turkey, and Rose doesn't like for me to bring anything (I guess I've served my time and now it's time to be served), so I roasted a turkey the other day and have been feasting. I made a couple different kinds of soup, have had sandwiches and am still not tired of turkey yet. I put the breast meat in the freezer for later and am using the rest of it. If the drawing is representative of the actual tub then I can see how it might not be possible to mount the faucet on such a small deck area and that far back. It looks like the deck area is less than 4" and depending on how far back being able to reach in there with 2 hands could be a real challenge for anyone other than a contortionist. The rough in mounts after the tile deck need access, tool, etc for proper tightening and installation. We've mounted ours on a back wall, but with 2 removable panels and the shape of the tub allow "decent" access if needed. But it's still a reach and quite awkward.
