Josh and Tibs, I like staying in B&Bs and nice motels when I go somewhere also, however, there are times when it's nice to have guests here at the house, and nice to be in a home close to friends and family. I have stayed in homes where the guest's rooms were perfect, loved it, i've also stayed in some not perfect and loved it too. The house or room doesn't matter to me at all, as long as I feel welcome The most fun, special time, was in a home with friends that were readying for a move and no furniture in the bedrooms, just an air mattress on the floor, it was very comfortable and the company of friends so special that we could have cared less about guest rooms. We only went to bed very late anyway, the rest of the time was spend talking, shopping, enjoying great food and bonding. To say it was a wonderful visit would be such an understatement. It was so special that it is etched in my memory for all times. It isn't necessary to have a big fancy guest room, nor do guests expect it, I don't. It's the way one is treated that makes or breaks a visit. I'm a people person, i'm also a dyed in the wool southerner, bless my heart, who worries if the bed is comfortable, if the coffee is too weak, etc. After trying to sleep in my guest bed, I thought it needed some changes. I am of the opinion that your home is YOUR home. If you're a great or not so great housekeeper doesn't affect me one way or another, I don't care, it's your place, your life. If I feel welcome, i'll love being there with you. If you came to my house and left feeling like you weren't welcome, it would kill me.

yeah, Rita - I think that any problems with messing up the tv refers to those incidents where someone let go of the remote. I've not heard of them hurting TV's. And the newer remotes have a locking mechanism on the strap that is pretty secure. The Wii Bar is the little bar that sits either in front of or on top of the TV that detects your movements. Joanne, you will like WiiFit. It keeps track of lots of stuff! And it's fun to watch other people hula hoop - LOL! I'll throw in here that Wii is also capable of playing Nintendo Gamecube games. We bought a used gamecube controller - and the Gamecube games - you can often find pretty cheap. A great game is Donkey Konga - with bongo drums. Really fun!

Way back on Sept 30 I posted that prizes for winners would be sent over the next couple weeks. Well it is more than a month later and my shipment of bulbs finally arrived today. My sincere apologies to, Margo, Katie,Annie, Ruth and Shirley ( BG) for the delay. Mail will be sent Thursday and Friday and I will post DC #'s then. Best I can say, besides I'm sorry is what my Grandmother used to say about late BD presents..... "It makes the fun last a bit longer when it doesn't all come at the same time." Bethb

I think I would do badly as a contestant, because I would probably be incompetent getting my buzzer to ring in fast enough, lol! Typically I do well with categories about Literature, Medicine, Geography, Movies/t.v. shows, and North American and European History (not knowledgeable enough about history of most other Continents.) Music and sports depend greatly on the era, regarding my knowledge level. I do okay at the 'Before and After' categories, but I'm downright horrible at categories connected to Mythology, Opera, Religion, Art History and Science Fiction. But oddly enough, even if I do pretty badly during the general game, I seem to have a weird knack of getting the Final Jeopardy response correct, which accomplishes nothing, if one doesn't accumulate enough money beforehand, to win the game!
