another beautiful craft! gosh sure looks like alot of work, dont do much with felt but this is one I would like to make! TFS and all the hard work you put in to showing us how to make the crafts you show! oddie

Red, I use several things, there is a glue at Walmart in a tube in crafts called "liquid stitch" works well, E6000 also good. When I glue appliques or embroidery down I use them but I also use invisable thread to tack the edges with a zigzag stitch. Below is a link to Joggles, that list all the types of glues avaliable. The site is for Art quilters, doll makers, etc. Here is a link that might be useful: Joggles glues avaliable

Msrose - I changed from the green for 3 reasons: 1. I couldn't find anymore of the green toile curtains that I loved so much nor could I find the fabric to make more. My 2 front rms. look into eachother and I like to have matching curtains. 2. I really wanted to try a rich neutral palette and also thought that since we are selling the house that it would be a good idea to have that neutral palette. I didn't want 1 rm. standing out green when everything looks into eachother. I am completely anal about a flow from rm. to rm. 3. I was very much inspired by Texashotties home of neutrals and decided to give it a whirl. Yesterday I looked out that window and saw one shell pink rosebud on my climbing rose and I thought how pretty will it all be w/ the soft grey walls, ivory fabrics, black accents and shell pink flowers in the Spring.

On the seat cushions, if the cover is removable, try using a crochet hook from the wrong side. Poke the hook through the fabric, snare the loose thread and wrap it once or twice around the hook and then gently pull it back through. I do this on snagged sweaters and things all the time. The crochet hook can probably also poke some of the loose threads back in from the right side, where the snags are on the arms. Get a very small hook and be prepared to go slowly and use a lot of patience. I have sometimes seen a gizmo sold as a sweater snag repairer that would probably also work. If you can't pull or push the snags to the back side of the fabric, you can cut them. Then use the Fray Check that bac717 mentioned. A woven fabric won't unravel, the way a knitted fabric would. The Fray Check is just added insurance. My cats have totally destroyed one of my chairs. But since they have always confined the scratching to this one chair and will leave all the others alone, I just put the chair in my study where no one but me sees it. Why they have to attack the most comfortable chair in the house eludes me. But there is no more cording on the front legs, the stuffing is coming through on the side and even though I trim the snags regularly, those darned cats just keep creating more. (This is how I know that snipping the threads won't cause the whole thing to unravel. I'd have lost this chair 10 years ago if that were the case.)
