How was National Scrapbook day?

So, how was everyone's National Scrapbook day? Anything exciting? My newly found scrapbook store had a pretty good sale and I picked up a few things. Now I can't wait to put the kids to bed and use some of them.

My local scrapbook store was having their 2nd Birthday Party today, so I went [with 16 month old DD in tow :(] and received a free journaling genie and some stickers for being one of the first 50 people in the door! Needless to say the place was packed and DD was not in the mood to shop or wait in line, so I put a couple of things back for later. Then I came home and while DD took a nap I completed a couple of pages. That's it! Happy Scrapbook Day...................

Thank you everyone for your sweet comments. Jeanne, I'm sure I will have fun cleaning up the "fairy dust', I may leave it for St. Patrick's Day. The dishes sat on a shelf at the TS for months. [I bought the flat ware there previously]. when I decided to do this table I was glad they hadn't been sold. PM, thank you, Who would think our baby teeth could help make rainbows? Punk, I've wanted to do a table featuring all of the little fairies since I got them. I'm sure they will come out to play again! I think we have all had to make excuses for the Tooth Fairy. I was going to use candles on the table but the Fairies FREAKED OUT!!! they can't take the heat and open flames terrify them. And they are used to working and playing in the dark. Jane, I just learned about about National Tooth Fairy day too. I'm sure I'll use these dishes again. My daughter planned this letter to be the first in a series of short stories about the misadventures of Dentalina and her sisters. I hope some day she will finish them. Maybe the glitter AKA fairy dust will magically disappear back into the clouds HaHa. Nana

My CM consultant is having a crop from 9-3 with raffles and stuff but my neice (who also happens to be my godchild) is making her First Communion so I have to go to that instead. SEcretly, I'm bummed. But I guess I can't complain since it's a pretty big day for a little girl and she only does it once. I want all the details of what everyone did when I get back! :) Oh, by the way Pam, it's May 6th and a lot of scrapbooking stores are having big sales and stuff. Worth looking into!

"On the other hand, what DOG is spelled backward works too! And as my church says, "God is Love." So, if dog spelled backward is god, and god is love, then indeed, dog spelled backward is love!" that's what I always say! dog is God spelled backward. They show us a smidgeon of how much God loves us. He loves us so much to bless our lives with these precious sweeties! I also think the best way to honor the love and life of one of my babies that have passed is to find another one to shower with love (spoil rotten). It's good to read that so many here are rescues. I think all of mine have been. All of your babies look very easy to love (and well loved). I'd take any of them (ok, one at a time). well, if I didn't have my little monster - lol! btw, since I didn't find out it was NDD the other day til it was mostly over, I carried it over to the next day... and even today. I'm slipping in some extra kisses and cookies here and there. I blame my sister for spoiling her!

Not a hugger. Don't mind a hug, but probably won't initiate it. My parents were not big huggers, but my mother was a memorably caring person. I still have people she cared for as a nurse stop me to tell me what a warm & comforting person she was. My Dad is also a love. We just weren't a touchy family. My DD is more of a hugger. I think she grew up playing sports where pats, hugs and other friendly physical connections were common. DS is more like me - very conscious of personal boundaries. DH is a hugger - but mostly to me, our kids and the grands ;) ETA I do hug my dogs!

Well I was planning on going to a all day scrap by a CM Consultant . I went a few months ago to one and it was great! Anyway, I graduated from college friday night and it was late when I got to bed and I over slept saturday morning and to make a long story short....I slept in then my sister came over and we went to yard sales. It was fun! But to tell you the truth I would of rather been scrapping! I hope everyone had a great time scrappin and bargain shopping! Take care and happy scrappin to ya all!

My CM consultant is having it next Sat., she couldn't get space anywhere so my day is postponed until next week. Hopefully I'll have lots to share...... Hilary

I went to my friend (a CM rep) who lives in Georgia - I live in Florida. It was great! I scrapbooked for 9 hours with no interruptions. I actually did a complete album - a gift for my sister's birthday. Arrived home today, back to reality and my 3 boys. Can't wait for next year.
