Need some advice

Hi everyone, I have been lurking here trying to see what would be the best items to buy for getting set up in scrapbooking.I don't do scrapbooks , but would like to set someone up for a gift.Please give me advice on the basics.

Basic supplies:
1 pair of decorative edge scissors
1 fiskers paper trimmer that will cut the size paper for the size of album you choose (the album does not have to be bought right away), either 8 .5 x 11 or 12 x 12, and matching size page protectors.
1 pack of assorted color cardstock (probably primary colors to start with)
1 zig glue pen
1 exacto knife
1 pack of assorted die cuts
1 0.5 black zig pen
Either a coluzzle system or a set of templates to make ovals, circles, etc.
The stickers and individual themed papes can be bough as you decide which photos you are working on. They are available by the sheet at either scrapbook stores, or Micheal's Craft Stores.

Thank you Penny, that is a super list, and I do have a Michaels store,I just needed a little help from someone who knows what they are doing,When I go into that department , I just get confused because there is so much to choose from.Who knows maybe I will start scrapbooking.THANKS PENNY. Peggy

Shrubs that don't have to be pruned are a good for low maintenance. Evergreen shrubs to the left of your entry, because winter can be so drab. It's nice to have evergreens by the entry. Holly is nice. Boxwood might work, but the boxwood blight makes it risky if it's that far north. Don't want evergreens to right of entry because of the snow getting dumped on the sidewalk. I know you prefer percale, but do the recipients prefer percale, too? If you aren't sure, these linen/ bamboo sheets are so nice. We love them and customer service is great. I'm just starting to look for light fixtures and need some advice.

The top part of the bar lights are a basic white metal that blends in with the cabinets and almost disappears. If the entire fixture were this white color, it would work because they would disappear and not fight the glass fixture. So, a lot of what matters is not just the lights themselves, but the background that they show up against. Are you cabinets and dining room walls the same material and color? How big is the space and how much natural light? Two fixtures close together both with black metal could read as cluttered. But it depends on the space.
