Glen this year my fish went out the earliest yet--only because the pond was finished. Last year it was the first week in June but I had to wait for my pump to arrive. I usually wait until the pond water is about 55F or until the forecast is for no snow or frost! Their water in the tank in the garage was actually colder than the pond by a few degrees. I was mean this year and did'nt even set their bucket in the pond--you know add pond water etc. I just transferred them from the holding tank to the pond--no deaths yet and it's been almost a week. I leave my water lilies in the pond in the deep end which is about 45 inches deep. Pond musn't freeze to the bottom as we had a very cold winter this year and the lilies are all growing. The only plants that look doubtful are the pickeral rush which I had buried in the flower bed and covered with peat moss. They look kinda mushy on top--will wait for a bit and see if they do anything. It was pouring rain today and only 8C so quite a temp change from Sat. Madtripper lucky you no leaks? Most of my pipe/fittings are ABS and I use ferncos as are easy to disconnect. The valves are all glued except for the section that has the check valve--it comes out for the winter. I drain all my lines in the winter and so far havn't had any valves or pipe crack just that leak where the fitting screwed into the pump. Happy ponding! Patti

It sounds like what you want to do is transfer files from one PC to another. Is that right? If so, do the PCs have network cards and do you have a router? The fastest way to do it is to set up a network, enable sharing on one PC, then copy files from that PC to the other one. If your PCs have network cards, but you don't have a router, you can still do it using a special kind of network cable called a crossover cable, but it takes a little more configuring. Another option is to get something like the Tornado. I bought one of these on sale for my dad because it was easier than walking him through the networking process. I got it for $19.99, though. I'm not sure I would have paid $49.95 for it. If you don't have an external drive for backing up, this is your excuse to get one and save yourself grief down the road. Get an external drive, connect it to the old PC and back it up. Then safely remove it, connect it to the new PC and copy the files to the new PC.

was in a bit of a rush, so to clarify. to do this we would have to go to email that way I could give you # of supply house. which you'd verify by looking them up online. after talking to them, you would call & order case of filters & mastic tape (hopefully you'll get the mastic tape!). I would pick up your pre-paid order. often my clients pre-pay supply house..and deliver. just not to your area! the part I come in on is picking up & mailing to you. case of filters is light, but bulky. the weight is the hardcast tape. by email we could exchange price to ship...and address to mail to you. shopping usps, ups & fed ex prices we can decide via email.delivering by truck. 18 wheeler is expensive. manager told me that there was an $80 charge for mini split covers. these were small, so a high price for a small pkg makes other options more attractive. it is only a few times that I've done this. but when you see someone trying to do it right.. it is worth it, in time & hvac supply access, to me. as you'll find out by clicking on my user name to access my email, the 'not so secret' will be out. once again. not many men with my name! did you have a chance to see if the double supply chase stops at the bottom of the grill? do you understand what I mean? with the chase stops at the supply grill.. then the velocity of the air is greater & not lessened/wasted continuing down the wall. this will give the supply grills more air. sorry to have taken longer to clarify than usual. I don't use tape. Years of painting all the ornate trim in our former house, a Victorian, have given me a steady hand and eye so that I don't need to. Well that and very high-quality brushes of course...In fact, this summer I finished painting the walls in the master bedroom here. There are 16 old ceiling beams set into the walls at the top edge of the walls. So, two coats of paint means I had to paint around the equivalent of 64 beams, on each beam's bottom edge and two sides. (Talk about a project that seemed never-ending!) Soon, like you, I'll be painting windows and doors with many panes in them. The problem with tape is that, unless you can apply the tape so that it follows the edge you're covering perfectly, you still run the risk either of leaving parts of your new paint job unpainted or of getting paint on something you wanted to protect. When I do the type of painting you'll be doing, in addition to an angled brush I also use a very small artist's brush, one with fine, flexible bristles. You should be able to buy single brushes or even buy sets at a good paint store. Expect to spend major money on them. I think one of my small brushes alone cost three dollars. Anyway what I do is paint the woodwork around the panes bringing the paint almost to the corner where the woodwork right-angles to the next edge. I don't know what the correct term is, but what I do is let the paint flow off the brush such that, by the time the brush meets the corner, there is virtually no paint left. I'm trying to avoid little paint blobs in the corner. I do the same all around the pane and I let the paint dry. After it's dried thoroughly -- and only at that point -- I touch up in the corners with the artist's brush. If you can paint quickly enough you could use the artist's brush as you go. I must not paint quickly enough, as I've found that paint on the small brush may start to dry a bit.
