So sorry! Things happen, no matter how detailed you try to be. At least you can somehow remove them, and I know I don't often remove them myself.

If it's a single door, can you reverse the door? You might find it less of a pain (and less risk of smashing your wall with over-exuberant door openers!)

did you try removing the shelf above the drawers? I think you get some wiggle room,and can pivot and then they may come out. I don't think you want to move the frig in and out...potential damage to flooring.

Saw, no you don't although I have felt like that all along the way too and I'm no perfectionist by any stretch of the imagination. I too placed my fridge near the wall. It's a tiny kitchen, I have few options but I do think it's the best place. When I contacted the mfg, they told me the fridge would need 10 inches of clearance to open fully. I contacted them again via telephone to see if that was a typo . . yes, it needs 1 inch of clearance. I left 3-1/2 inches . . good thing I did because that's what I need to get out the bins. Like you said, how often do you need to fully remove the bins? Hopefully not often.

We have a tile floor (ceramic or porcelain? I forget which though I am not sure I know the difference). So moving the fridge in and out 1-2X a year won't be an issue.

Its just frustrating. We left 3" on the side of the fridge, but the door molding is there also. It needs a sliver more to come out.

It was the only really good place to put the fridge. Its near the eating area, the dining room and still easy access for cooking (we have a relatively small kitchen, nothing is too far LOL). I like the location. I just wish we had left another inch.

I've made almost a dozen mistakes in cabinetry and other stuff that I or someone else caught before orders were placed. (I placed my own cabinetry order.) I wonder how many mistakes weren't caught! I'm sure more than a few, I hope none of which are catastrophic. The refrigerator problem you have isn't catastrophic, though it'll be annoying on very rare occasion. I take my bins out only once a year when I clean my empty refrige after coming home from vacation. A spill has to be SIGNIFICANT to warrant bin removal other than that. :)

Having just yesterday been forced to remove everything in the drawers, the bottom shelf, the bins, and clean a nasty hamburger spill, I can tell you how friggin' difficult and annoying it is.

I am seriously entertaining the idea of putting my fridge on the other side of it's wall in the mud room with the freezer. I can always use more cabinet and counter space, although I barely cook.

The machinations it took to get those bins not only out, back in again were ridiculous. I had to take the stuff off the DOOR, remove the little door-stuff-holders and finally had enough room to bang the sucker back in.

Not only do I hate my fridge, I hate its location (not much choice -- only other mentioned above) and hate its non-counter-depth, now that I know those exist.

It's a CL find and I'm glad to have it. It's better than a side-by-side where only the freezer part worked.

I think we all have those little annoyances. I did a couple of late night catches that we are still relieved about. But we definitely have a couple glitches we missed.

I made a big measuring error in our kitchen. Didn't notice it until framing was done, drywall was up, and wood floor was installed. I had to go with another fridge or have a tiny, tiny aisle. No o e to blame except me as I had no GC. Arghhhhh.

I don't take my bins out often if that makes you feel better. So sorry you're dealing with this unforeseen issue.

Maybe a totally crazy idea, forgive me, but could you move that whole "unit" over an inch or two? You could order a slightly wide filler strip for the left side. I'm not sure what's behind that whole fridge section from your Picasa pictures (in which your kitchen looks nice BTW!).

Otherwise, like fouramblues, I rarely pull my bins out.
