Comments (4)Karen, What about Inkastamps doll pattern? Joint her with beads. http://inkastamps.com/doll.html Accu-cut has a die cut of an interesting of a jointed doll that would make a neat pattern if you could find a store with the die. http://edu.accucut.com/catalog/showdetl.cfm?&DID=13&Product_ID=23571&CATID=170...See MoreYour favorite, easy afghan pattern?
Comments (13)I've knitted a couple bedsized blankets, and afghans, and to make it manageable to do, I make mine in long strips...from top to bottom...then sew the strips together. I, personally, don't like blankets or afghans that have a right and a wrong side, so I knit mine using reversible strips, knitted using stitches or combinations of stitches that look the same on both sides...like the moss stitch, double moss, and lots of combinations of knits and pearls (for example, squares created by, blocks of knit and pearl stitches). Get a book...try the library....on different stitches....there are a ton you can use. You can either make each strip all one stitch, or divide up the strips into squares...this will enable you to try more stitches. This is the sort of thing I like to do...I call it 'mindless knitting', and great for in the car, etc. You just don't want to have to drag the whole bloomin' thing around with you - doing it in strips makes it easy....See MoreQOTD - What's your favorite "go-to" pattern?
Comments (25)I remember years ago finding this pattern and thinking I should try it when magothyrivergirl posted a picture of one she had done. It was great and seeing it encouraged me to give it a try. I have to give her full credit for this one; I see lots of patterns I like and only try a fraction of them. If I hadn't seen hers I'm not sure I would have ever gotten to it. Thanks M!!! Kate...See Moremore on shoes... so, what is your favorite brand?
Comments (42)I have small wide feet. Very difficult getting shoes. Years ago, for work, my go to was Naturalizer because they offered wide. When I stopped working and had my daughters, I was in Nike or New balance sneakers. My sneakers now are Nike. I had to order and send back so many pairs as the stores didn't carry wide. Now it's crocs (so many cute ones now a days), Bernardo flip flops, Easy Spirit, a Reiker loafer I bought years ago. (I had the sense to stockpile two extras and now I'm on the last pair. I have some Aerosole, but from years ago. Nothing seems to fit there. Added woe. The Easy Spirit store closed. Macy's bought Easy Spirit so they might begin to show more, but Macy's isn't really convenient for me either. I have one pair of Ecco shoes, but they aren't really comfortable. I wear the Ecco sandals all summer for taking long walks....See Morenancynancy
