I too would be interested! I am thinking of getting the CM oval cutter and would love to hear what everyone thinks of that one!! Kinda pricey, thats for sure!

The one I saw was in Michael's. It looked a lot like a circle cutter, only oval.

I went to a scrapping party a few week-ends ago and I used the Creative Memories custom circle and oval cutting systems for the first time and I loved them. Making the cicles and ovals were so fast and easy.( The fastest I have ever seen)
I would really like to get them but they are kinda pricey...

Hate the CM one!! Yuck. I just can't get the hang of it. It leaves a lip on the edge of the picture (I was told I press too hard, but when I lightened my pressure, it wasn't cut clear through and I had to fix it with scissors - taking twice as long). Also, I don't like the way you set up the picture with the template, then put the glass guide over it -- too many times I didn't get it right and my cutting was off center. Nope. I don't recommend it at all. But maybe I got too accustomed to their old circle cutter (which I loved) and had a hard time adjusting to their new design. Other people at the CM workshops I attend love it.

Yes,I have the fiskars Oval cutter. I'm new at all of this but my opinion is... it doesn't work! I read other people (in this forum) say it takes getting used to it. I also have the circle cutter from fiskars, it it easy to use. I will try practicing with it but I don't have high expectations. I hope you have better luck, if you get one.

I have the one from Michaels it's made by Fiskars but I hate it! Either I don't know what I'm doing or the thing is poorley designed LOL. I have their circle cutter and I love it! Hopefully some one will come up with an easy to use oval cutter.

I purchased the Fiskars one because it seemed like the most reasonably priced a year or so ago. It is very difficult to use. I received the Creative Memories system as a gift and I love it. You need to watch how hard you press on it, but it gives great results very easily and quickly.

I've got the new CM oval and circle cutters and love them! As with any of the systems, a little practice goes a long way.

I "won" the circle and oval cutter at a crop yesterday!! I love them both. I used their's during the day and it was really easy once I got the hang of it. Just practice using scrap paper. I have been cutting ovals and circles all day. Now I just need to use them!! LOL

Had the old version of the CM circle cutter and HATED it! I now have the newer one and love it!

I finally saved up for the new CM cutting system....and I love them. You do have to practise to get the hang of it, but it doesn't take long! love it, love it, love it!!!

I, too, am a fan of the CM Circle and Oval cutting system. I've had the circle for a while and just got the oval. I am in heaven!

Ok. I'm going to hang my head and admit that the CM one isn't as bad as I originally thought (see my post above from March 9). I've since used it numerous times and have gotten much better at it. It's not the sinister piece of equipment that I felt it was. But it definitely takes some getting used to.

I will admit that I liked the old CM CIRCLE cutter better and I got the hang of that one really quickly. This one takes a lot more practice. I'm still not comfortable enought to BUY it, but when I'm at crops, I don't panic about using it anymore. :)

And Donna - I can't believe your CMC gives away stuff like that at crops!!! wow!! My CMC hasn't even been in the business for a year yet so she can't afford to give away big stuff yet. I'm looking forward to her little business to start turning a good profit so she can raffle off more than idea books and stickers. :)
