How many albums????

I was wondering how many different albums you fellow scrappers have done. I am just finishing my first year's worth of pictures for our family. Along the way, though, I've collected memorabilia that I'd like to put in individual albums for my girls. But sometimes I think it's too optimistic to think I can finish all of our family pics, plus do one for each child. Should I concentrate on finishing our family pictures (12 years worth) or should my next step be getting the kid's albums in order? HELP!

I am working on my daughter's album right now, and I plan to do family/vacation albums later. I think that some people work on several albums at a time, but I'm not organized enough and my dining room table can't take it!

1. Are you a picture freak? Do you like taking pics etc? Not really. 2. How many photo albums do you own? I have one of the old fashioned kind...like people used all the time before we had computers, and a bunch on my computer and some cds of them. 3. Do you get the oil changed in your car regularly? Every 3,000 miles? Not every 3,000 miles, or I would be doing it every 3 weeks. 4. Do you tire easily? No. I have a lot of energy, I think, considering my age. 5. Do you worry a lot? I have a couple of nagging concerns, but over all, I am not a worrier. 6. Do you currently have any gift cards? No. 7. How many purses do you own? I have one clutch type wallet and that's all...no purses. 8. How many jackets/coats/hoodies do you own? Probably five. 9. Have you ever had a pedicure? No. Would never have one either. (No interest). Are you planting a lot of flowers this year or a few? I always plant a lot...but mostly shrubs and tropicals...not so many flower seeds. Have a great day!! Thanks. You, too, Marilyn.

i lost my senior great dane girl 5 weeks ago to bone cancer. it was sudden and shocking and i still look for her. my remaining dane girl and eden were joined at the hip, pip took the loss very hard and had been grieving so much, it broke my heart. i contacted pip's breeder and one of her former co-owners and asked that they keep an eye out for any adults that any breeder friends might be considering a new home for (retired show dogs, etc.). the co-owner gave me the contact information for one of her people who had a dane boy she had been looking for just the right home for and the rest is history. meet "flighty foto my way", call name "frank". frank will be 4 years old on 5/31. he is a very sweet boy and he and pippin hit it off immediately at our meet 'n' greet friday. they do zoomies numerous times a day, sleep curled up together and are just a perfect pair. pippin is so much happier and that makes me happier. even though i miss eden terribly, i am beginning to heal now that pip is feeling better. frank is a bit on the thin side because he lived the last 4 weeks with a female dane who was going through a heat cycle and when that's going on, intact males ignore food, do a lot of pacing and fretting and routinely lose weight. he's eating like a horse so i'm confident he will gain and be back to his normal weight soon. i'm giving him a few weeks to settle in and then i'll make an appointment to have him neutered.

I am working on four scrapbooks right now.
1. Nothing except the kids, day of birth till present time, and our family vacations, their school days, etc. Also my grandchild.
2. Travels w/o the kids - cruises, islands, and Europe.
1. Nostalgia, back to when I was a baby on thru my college years, which includes the grandparents, etc.
  4. Friends and our careers.

I am working on three albums right now, and have finished one. I am working on two tribute/heritage albums...one for my family and one for my husband's. I finished our wedding album, but will probably go back and redo it at some point (it was the first one I did and I'm not as happy with it as I'd like to be). As for our family....I was going to do an album for each child, but as time goes on I'm beginning to think of just doing a series of albums for our family as a whole. I've got enough pictures that I could separate out the pages and do a book for each child....but for now a single family album with subsequent volumes works for me.

I have 2 for my daughter, so far...she's 3 (and amazingly enough I'm caught up with it!)

Just started one for my hubby & I starting from when we met.

My three sons album--gift for a friend, bday pages up to age 5 and then some assorted kids pages

Baby album--gift, newborn page right up to all the "firsts"

70th b'day album--memory album for a relative with pages & pics of the whole family; incl. a best wishes page that I had everyone sign

Several wedding books--dating years pics up through wed day

This is an addicting hobby. Just about everyone in my family has rec'd a scrapbook in one form or another!!

Well, it seems I have more "planned" than I've actually done. But here's the scoop on what I've done/am doing.

1. 8x10 size for my mom's 2nd wedding
2. Going Down Under (trip to Australia)
3. Baby's first Year (my dd's baby book)
4. Ds#2--Birth to 5 years (not quite done, as he turns 5 in 5 weeks LOL!)

working on my wedding/honeymoon album
just decided to do an ABC album with ds#1. He is 7 and we are homeschooling, so this is kinda his project too. I tell you guys, this is an awesome way to use up misc. photos.

In the future: I will have a Birth-5 years album for ds#1 and dd. These will be their books to have when they leave home. (Obviously will also do 6-10 yrs, then 11-graduation)

I will have my own family album. But when I say "family" I more mean just pics of my kids. Maybe some other family members will make it into the album, if they're lucky LOL.

The Grandpa Book this will be a 5x7 tribute album for each of the kids, about thier grandpa and great-grandpas who've passed away.
