Our sink fixtures are a mix of satin nickel and brushed SS and they look fine together. Our lights are pewter. Our drawer pulls and door knobs are antique iron. Our pantry door hardware is brushed nickel. They all look fine together. My personal preference is to have hardware and fixtures in the same color "family" - usually broken down into "silver" or "gold". However, you can mix them up if you're careful bow you do it.

Do your shower all in chrome and then you can do whatever finish you want for the dry areas.

Patricia, thank you for the feedback. If I could ask one more question. First, I said our cabinets are going to be Agreeable gray, but they are SW Repose Gray. I am not sure I am liking the Repose and Anew grays together. We will have a ton of natural light in our house, so that may make the colors look totally different once installed. Would appreciate your opinion. Thanks for your time. ( I didn't know making all these choices would be so hard.)

Mixing metals and finishes can certainly add interest and avoid the "everything has to match" look. But if you have too much going on, it starts to look disjointed. Lots of articles on the subject and most suggest a dominate finish throughout, then an accent. Important to consider all your other finishes as well, like appliances, sink, light fixtures, and faucets etc. Do you have those picked out yet? -I know more to think about. :/ But, you really do want everything to work together, especially since your kitchen will be more open to the rest of your rooms. When I think of craftsman hardware, your photo above is more my line of thought. Are you trying to remain true to that style? Quick off topic, but concerning the door handles, you might think about levers versus the round knobs. They can be easier at opening for aging in place, not to mention if you're carrying items. Same idea with kitchen hardware, handles could be a better solution, especially for arthritic hands. :)
